Elves are a wingless species that should live on the surface, but thanks to the humans live underground near earth's core. They have sensitive ears that are kinda pointy. They have a variety of hair and eye color as well as skin tones and are slightly above three feet tall. Though this elf in particular, the one in this story who falls in love with a human has her own features and is ready for anything! Or is she? Just who is this elf you may ask? She's just the red -haired, hazel eyed elf that lives under your house! No, there isn't an infestation of fairies under your house! She lives miles below you near the earth's core.
Holly Short was just waking up in the little house she owned in Haven. She disappeared off to the plaza to go to work only to be faced from her human friend/crush that lived on the surface where she longed to be. As usual it was a call about meeting up at Tara or at his home in the middle of Ireland. She had sat on a bench listening to him talk when all of a sudden he broke into a rare smile and cracked a joke which wasn't really funny at all.
She just sat there laughing at one of his rare jokes that were still never funny. It wasn't her fault that his sense of humor was as bad as his knack for getting into trouble. When they finally finished up the call Holly said to herself "Artemis will never change will he"? When she finally entered work her ex-friend also her commander Trouble Kelp asked her why she was late. Just as she was about to answer starch her geeky centaur friend dragged her off into his lab.
He asked her how her plan to finally tell Artemis her feelings for him was going .Holly's eyes widened and she started to freak out. When Foaly tried to calm her down she slapped him in the face and asked him how he knew about it. She didn't know how he found out about it unless he had stolen her diary. She scanned around the lab until she had found it amongst the piles of papers and blueprints scattered about. She took a swing at Foaly which didn't turn out that great as he was a great five feet taller than her.
He realized that he shouldn't have taken it then because now she was on a rampage. He managed to slide out of the room and called Artemis to deal with the problem. When the boy arrived he had starch explain the whole situation. Artemis ran into the room before the centaur could finish the last sentence. When Holly saw the boy she freaked. Well she couldn't get away though because the boy was still taller than her.
Her luck came when the boy was shot by a laser that started to turn him into an elf .it knocked them both out, but Holly woke up first staring at him in shock. He had become an elf which had caused her to faint. Foaly had noticed this and was laughing his head off. When she had finally woke up again she waited until Artemis stirred to jump up and scream "YOU'RE AN ELF".
The boy realized it as soon as she had said it and reached out for her hand. He yanked her up and pulled her up into a tunnel that led to a laughing Foaly a.k.a. Pony-boy . Holly smiled at him and said "Well for once your experiment is something I agreed with." Artemis responded with a grab of her hand and a run. They ended up in a shuttle where Holly explained it to him. He smiled and told her he already knew what would happen as he had been spying on Foaly the whole time.
Holly wasn't surprised by this until Artemis kissed her. She calmed down after awhile and dragged him off to his parents to tell them why he was now an elf. It happened to be permanent, but his parents were alright with it .It was a different story with Artemis's little sister who wanted him to stay for experiment's with her. Artemis told her that it didn't matter because he would still experiment no matter what. That's what he said before they went back underground.
