Merlin was sitting alone... Why had this just happened to him? One moment he was a proud father and husband, and now he has nothing more than one child left. By himself and scared, he started to cry.
One Year Later
Merlin's son, Nemo, has started school, and things are going well. Nemo has had a hard time adjusting to not having a mother, and Merlin is beginning to worry. Merlin enrolls himself in some local community groups to start to meet some people. He meets this girl named Patty, and falls in love. They see each other every day, and never grow tired of each other. One day at the local hangout, just as they are coming on to the subject of marriage, a familiar voice sounds behind Merlin.
"Merlin!" the mystery person says in a soft whisper.
Merlin slowly turned around, and thought he had gone mad! Standing in front of him, was an exact replica of Coral.
"Stop it!" he said out loud.
"Merlin, Honey?" The mystery girl said.
"I'm sorry; it's just that you look like someone from my past."
"I am someone from your past!"
"You can't possibly be..."
"Coral? Yes Merlin, it's me."
Merlin stared on in disbelief.
"Merlin, I'm sorry. The barracuda knocked me into our backyard. When I finally woke up, I didn't know who I was. I wandered around for months. Finally, it all came back to me, but by that time, I was so far away from home, and I didn't know how to get back. Well, I finally figured it out, and here I am..."
Patty ran out of the room crying.
"Merlin, who is she?"
Finally Merlin spoke, "Coral honey, I missed you every day of my life, and I have been dating patty for a year now. You see, Nemo, our son, needed a mother, and I don't feel like I know you anymore."
"We can change that Merlin..."
"Maybe, but for now, let me take you to meet our only surviving son."
