"We'll leave in a minute, Al," Edward promises. Golden eyes close.
Al nudges the prodigy alchemist. "Brother?" But the teenager sleeps on. The younger brother sighs hollowly, tugging at the red coat. "Come on, Ed, you can't fall asleep now."
The older Elric's face is peaceful, encouraging Alphonse to let him sleep. They're both banged up from their mission, Ed with bruises, Al with dents.
But Edward never gives up. He always pushes through.
And now it's Alphonse's turn.
Bending down, he scoops the blond into his arms, cradling him protectively. Ed feebly protests. "Don't worry, Brother, I'll carry you."
