Everything is blurry to me, I just woke up. My grey-ish hands are tied in shackles, though my feet were dangling. My face is limp & lolling on my heavily cloaked shoulder. ''Wh-where?'' I mutter, opening my yellow eyes. Then I see a humanoid creature in the darkness. I recognize him; Dmitri Blinov. He just eyes me for a few seconds, hanging there, unaware of my soon-to-be death. Then he laughs. It must've brought him sick pleasure to see me like this, his leader, powerless. Then I find the strength to look up at him, & say shakily, ''This…this well never work. I know it won't.''
''You said it yourself, Celia, & calculated it too.'' he smiles greedily.
I don't answer for a second, then solemnly shake my head side to side. ''No,'' Dmitri rises an eyebrow but does not intervene. ''Graham was like a father to me. He understood..." I gag. "Graham & I were so alike…Graham was also misjudged.'' I struggle against the chains that bind me. Dmitri does not protest. Then after I decided it was impossible, I continue. ''When I heard Graham d-died, I..." I fight back bitter tears. I take a deep breathe & went back to what I began. ''I heard S-Soma k-killed him." Still silent, he gestured me to continue. ''I was so d-devastated. S-so devastated. I fell ill.''
''So that's why you were sick for a few months…'' Dmitri whispered, nodding, understanding shinning in his eyes.
''It took me half a year to recover. Then someone found Graham's will,'' I shoot Dmitri a determined look my canary colored eyes. He knows this part of the story, for that someone who found Graham's will was none other then him, Dmitri Blinov. ''It was for me to be the head of the cult, & to kill Soma. But I could not find the boy." I stop, because I realize in revolution I was tied to corpses. Then I continue in spite of myself. Now was not the time to be all girly about it. "A month has passed since the reading of Graham's will, so it was the time for me to be the head of the cult.'' I pause. I wonder how the words were coming to me so swiftly, as if I knew from the start I would be in this position, telling my motives. ''I-I just claimed to have calculated what I told you, meanwhile, it was a less-then-amateur plan. It was all to kill Soma Cruz, to get revenge for Graham. He was like a father to me…'' I felt bitter tears fall down the span of my cheeks. ''If your still going to kill me,'' I whispered, ''Then tell them what I said.''
Dmitri bolted up. ''No! You're a liar!'' He elbows my horrified face angrily, knocking me out due to how weak I already am.
"When you awake, Celia..." He mutters, not finishing that sentence, as if he himself was reluctant to kill his me, mentor, even though I had betrayed him.
The next time I would wake up, I would be dying. Screaming in agony. Through my melancholy inaudible shouts, if you listen closely, I have shouted for Graham's help.
