AN: I know I haven't given a name to the female character, I couldn't find one that captured the beauty and essence so I just decided to leave her nameless. Any ideas for names would be great. Also, please tell me if there are any typos. I detest typos with a passion!
AN: This is befores Thors coronation so Loki doesn't know he is is a frost giant yet and Thor hasn't been cast out and such.
Chapter 1 - At first sight
What had he done to deserve her?
They met, he thought, it must be two months back now. After an unfortunate … incident, A few male members of the palace staff were injured and humilated after Thors libido decided to cloud his judgement and they'd had to hire more. As nobody of decent standard wished to endure a repeat of the 'incident', they turned to the poorer settlements. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel now, Loki thought to himself. He entered the crown room to find his mother and father already there and Thor – as per usual – was late. "Greetings Loki, my son. Do you know of Thor's whereabouts?" Odin said grandly. Loki did know of Thor's whereabouts. He was in the dining hall drinking with the warriors three but he was not about to tell father that.
Thor and Loki were brothers and respected the others wishes and privacy. Well, Loki thought, I respect Thor's wishes and privacy but Thor teasingly scoffed at his little brothers ideas and had no boundaries for privacy, walking in and out of Loki's chambers as he pleased. This was particularly irritating as Loki had been working on a new spell and it required the upmost concentration and Thor had stormed in, babbling on about some bildschnipe hunt he was going on. Loki sighed. "Greetings to you father and no, I do not know of Thor's whereabouts". Odin shook his head and continued speaking. "Loki, these are the new palace staff we have hired, choose the one you wish to be yours". Loki was rather surprised by this. Odin never let his sons choose their own staff after the.. erm.. incident involving Thor and .. two chambermaids. He chuckled to himself then glanced quickly over the awaiting Asgardians. They were mostly female, with a few males who were obviously not able to become warriors. He spotted a blonde woman who some may of called beautiful (he couldn't see it himself) and made a mental note to assign her to Thor as he was not present – Thor would thank him for it later! He reached the end of the row and then his heart skipped a beat. There she was. He firstly believed he was imagining things, a person could not be that perfect. After a few more stolen glances he assured himself that she was no hallucination. He turned to Odin and said, "Her, on the end of the row. She will be sufficient". Odin said "So be it" and she was escorted to Loki's chambers to begin her work.
AN: I deleted a whole chunk at the end because I didn't like it and thought it was moving too quickly with not enough description so I will finish this chapter later methinks. Also, I am on holiday all next week so any questions just ask my tumblr and I'll answer them when I get back even though I have a huge queue set up!
AN: I will elaborate later on the 'incident with Thor' - any ideas?
