Loki's Fable
Loki grew somewhere he thought was pure, and where sunshine always shone, and he grew with his brother in the dappled shade.
And Loki loved tricks and lies, and he was punished for them many times, but they were just harmless pranks, so Loki wasn't sorry, and Loki didn't care.
But time went by and he soon knew that the sunlight didn't reach him for he was growing in a shadow.
And slowly the shadow infected his mind and jealousy turned to bitter hatred.
And he knew his brother was not right for the throne, and he let monsters into his home to prove it.
And at the same time he let the shadow start to swallow him and Loki wasn't sorry, and Loki didn't care.
And he travelled with his brother and friends to an icy world and suspicions began to grow in his mind.
And he was shocked by his brother's punishment, and by the anger of his father, and fear tamed the shadows for a while.
But then deep within the weapons vault he was told that he did not belong, and he screamed denial but his not-father slipped into Odinsleep.
And with the king asleep he had the power he had always wanted.
And he used the shadows to weave a complicated web, ensnaring monsters and warriors.
And he sent a weapon to destroy his brother and he began to plan...
But he fought his brother on the rainbow bridge and as he hung off it he let out a final plea.
But the answer wasn't what he expected, and he let his life go, because Loki wasn't sorry, and Loki didn't care.
