Sup! Still writing Dark Prince. Just needed a break from it. (I lie. I hadn't been working on it at all.) So I came up with this pretty cool idea. I was inspired by The Tender Trap by SleepingSeeker. It's a really good story, you should totally read it. I not even a real big Leorai fan, and I love it. I'm planning on this being a side story. So don't worry! Dark Prince will be worked on. :D This universe is 2k12 mixed with idw, 2k3, and a couple other universes. Karai is 2 years younger than the guys, which comes into play in this chapter. All in all, I hope you enjoy it!

He didn't know how he felt when he first saw her.

It felt a lot like curiosity. Who on earth who was this lady? It suddenly came to mind that she wasn't even a lady, perhaps a girl instead. Yes. Now that she was closer, Leonardo could she her clearly. She was indeed a girl. Perhaps younger than he was, it seemed.

At first, Leonardo was disgusted. How could the Shredder allow a girl so young to go into battle?

Not until they were engaged in combat did he see how skilled she was. How quick she was, how silent she was. How lethal she was. Of course, how could he forget. Age did not matter when it came to skill.

Amazement was another feeling he felt as he dodged another blow from her. No foot soldier had ever lasted this long against him. Against any of his brothers. Most of the Foot were never a challenge. They were easy to knock out. Dogpound, Fishface, even Hun, were jokes. Fishface favors fancy (and crazy) leg movements, leaving his upper body open and unprotected. Dogpound always charged. His attacks were easy to avoid and it was rather easy to anger him. His entire body was vulnerable to attacks. Hun? He was just a bit harder. Just a bit. All they had to do was-

A sharp pain in his arm brought Leonardo back to reality. The young kunoichi had nicked him.

Leonardo stole a glance at the girl. She was in a fighting stance, her sword, a wakizashi, boldly in front of him. She was daring him.

Annoyance. That was what he should be feeling right now. But for some reason, he felt rather amused. He looked at the girl again. Despite the mask covering her nose and mouth, he could see the crinkles at the corners of her brown, almond shaped eyes. She was amused, just like he was.

"That all you got?" He asked.

She made a noise somewhat between a snort and giggle. "You're fun."

He looked at her oddly. "I'm... fun?"

To his surprise, she giggled. "The most fun I ever had." She leapt up to the roof of a nearby building. "My name's Karai." She took off her mask, revealing her wide smile full of bright white teeth. "See you later."

As she turned to leave, Leonardo noticed something in her hair.

A red streak.
