Lost wouldn't be the word to describe the situation. A walk—that was what this was. A stroll in the city.

His muscle memory had alerted him a while back that this was not the way to the mansion. He was curious. Such liveliness despite the sun setting. How could he let it go to a waste?

And what was it that the children mentioned when they stayed out late? Something about the night being young.

There was nothing particular about the scene. Office workers commiserating, beelining to the nearest bar; high school students wondering when their strict teacher would retire; tourists pointing to the foodstalls they've never seen before. Rai sauntered down the street, letting the glow of the lamps and signs light the way for him. Choosing a quieter path to turn into, his feet halted in front of a food stall.

Hm? His eyes roamed across the skewered treats but then fell on a pool of bright red. The color and smell seemed familiar. Rai took a seat on the stool and nodded at the owner.

"An order of spicy rice cakes," she warmly chimed, handing the plate to Rai. He didn't quite catch the name, but he was surprised that the brilliant red sauce was actually sweet than it was spicy. The noodle, he supposed, was thick yet flat. It was pleasantly chewy. This wasn't like the ramyeon he's had.

Unless… ah-ha. He finally understood.

These were full grown ramyeon. The noodles were bigger because it absorbed most of the soup!

So that was the secret.

Rai hadn't been waiting long enough.
