A/N: Hey! This is just a quick one shot! I just that RookieBlueAust is VERY taken with Boyd, so I thought I would write a quick one shot for them! For those of you who are wondering (None) the next chapter to What if? will be up in 2 days' time! As always R&R!
Boyd gulped at the end of the Swarek residences driveway. Sam had left his wife, that rookie that busted him years ago, for a short two month op and when he came back he was presented with an onesie that read 'Daddy's Little Girl". And now he had to congratulate them. These things weren't normal for him. His buddies in G & G didn't have children. Hell, they didn't even have wives. This was uncharted territory for him. What was he supposed to do? Just walk in, say congrats and walk out? Was he supposed to bring a gift? How was he supposed to act? He was never too keen with McNally. His thoughts were disturbed when he heard the male Swarek's voice.
"You just gonna stand there all night or come in?" he had a ridiculous grin on his face. The same one he's had on since he found out.
"Yeah, Yeah I'm coming" he lets out a deep breath and makes his way up the path and past the manicured lawns. Swarek gestures inside and he complies. Sam leads him to a couch in the main room where Andy was across the room sitting on a loveseat. Fitting, considering that Sam just took a seat with her and wrapped his hand around her back to have it rest on her stomach. A stomach that was sporting a healthy bump.
"Umm… I just wanted come by and say congratulate you guys. He said nodding to Andy's stomach."
"Thanks! You want anything?" Andy was cheery, a high that no one could bring her down from.
"Nah, I should probably get going" he was nodding to the door."
"Come on man! Stay for dinner! Andy made her sort of famous lasagna." The comment earned him a light punch from Andy.
"I really shouldn't…"
After about 10 minutes of convincing from Andy and Sam, Boyd relented and stayed for dinner. They had a great time, talking about hockey, and what not. After dinner Sam convinced Boyd to stay and watch the game arguing that he needed a non-hormonal person to argue with. While Andy was doing the dishes she could hear the banter between the two men. She was beyond happy. In 5 months' time she would have her own little bundle of joy. And it was nice to see Sam not worrying about her and the little one for once. Hours after he arrived, Boyd left with warm departures.
