He Longed for Freedom
His spirit walked freely, spreading his warm and loving glow.
Fate then brought about the dark one, who robbed the spirit of his freedom.
He longed for freedom.
He obeyed the dark one's every whim, Father Time passing them by.
Dying, the dark one soon robbed him of his past, leaving him an empty, solitary soul.
He hungered for freedom.
The lonely spirit wondered without a means to return to the light.
He was robbed of his warm and loving glow, was robbed of all hope, could never be loved.
He starved for freedom.
The spirit then encountered a youth, although not quite as young as he.
Perhaps this youth could lend him a helping hand, his glow returning.
He was gaining his freedom.
The youth led the spirit to his past, restored to him what was rightfully his.
His past returned to him, his heart glowing like the sun.
He could reach his freedom.
The spirit was alive once more, the youth bringing him where his heart most desired.
He was accepted.
He was loved.
He was home.
He was free.
