A/N: This is a oneshot that I wrote in an attempt to quiet down the plot bunnies in my mind. My sister gave me a list of various pairings and random words. This oneshot's pairing was Sanji x Zolo and the word was 'sailing'. Hope that you enjoy. Reviews are always appreciated.
Disclaimer: I own nothing, if I did, I would be really rich right now.
Sailing
It was all Luffy's fault. There was no way it wasn't his fault. Because the rubber had to be king of the pirates, he had managed to convince him to join his crew. Of course, he was the only one jin his crew at the moment, but that had slowly changed. There were many times that he almost regretted joining Luffy's crew, but now as he sat in the crow's nest, he was forever grateful that he had decided to join Luffy in his crazy quest to become king of the pirates.
Zolo was brought out of his musing by a steaming cup of cocoa held out to him. Taking the cup, Zolo moved so that Sanji could squeeze in next to him. Once Sanji was safely in the crow's nest, Zolo moved so he was leaning back into Sanji's chest, using the blonde as a human blanket.
"What are you thinking about?" Zolo shivered slightly as warm breath brushed against his ear. Smirking, Zolo turned his head, pulling Sanji into a quick but passionate kiss. Grinning around the strawberry lollipop, Zolo gave a soft chuckle.
"Before you came to distract me, I was thinking about our fearless captain." Sanji came out of his daze to frown at him. "Should I be jealous?" "No. I was just thinking about when I first met him."
Resting his chin on soft green fuzzy spikes, Sanji absentmindedly pulled out another lollipop as he thought back to his first meeting with the rubber idiot. Fiddling with Zolo's sash, curiousity won out. "What got you to thinking about the idiot?" "Just thinking about how glad I am that I decided to join his crew. If he wasn't so stupid and determined, I would have said no. I'm glad that I didn't."
Just the thought of his Marimo not apart of the crew sent a shooting pain through his chest. Pulling Zolo to his chest Possessively, Sanji held him tightly. "I think I'll forget to Luffy-proof the kitchen one night. I have him to thank for you" Zolo chuckled. "Make sure that you 'forget' the night before we stop for more supplies." Sanji just snorted. Lifting his cup of still steaming cocoa, Zolo quietly toasted Luffy. "To the crazy kid sailing to be king of the pirates. Only he could bring together a swordsman and fighting chef." Tapping his lollipop against Zolo's cup, Sanji murmured a quiet, "Cheers."
Below the crow's nest, Luffy's eyes sparkled from beneath his hat. He had learned that sailing was full of endless possiblities.
Hope you liked it. Reviews are very much appreciated. If anyone wants to build a fic off of this, just ask.
