The ambulance for Coraline had arrived and Mick was still in shock. For one, he had reunited with his ex-wife. Two, he just might have found the cure for vampirism, and three, Beth stabbed Coraline. He knew Beth was trailing along behind him, but he was unwilling to forgive her at that moment.

"Mick I w-" Beth started to say.

"No, I don't want to hear it." Mick said, interrupting Beth. "This isn't the right place for you to be right now. You just stabbed my ex-wife. Do you think I am jumping for joy right now?" he asked, the sarcasm coming out easily.

"Mick, you don't understand." Beth said. "I didn't know she was human again. Even so, she is a danger to everyone."

"Or is she a danger to you?" Mick asked. "Why are you so threatened by her, Beth? You said yourself that your kiss didn't matter. Just get out of here." They had finally reached the hospital and Beth didn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

"Josef told me about your affair with Coraline. He told me that she was like a drug to you. I won't let you do this." She said, trying one last time to knock some sense into Mick. Mick didn't seem to be falling for it.

"GET OUT!" he yelled.

Beth was now scared, as Mick had rarely gotten this mad. She ran off, terrified of his reaction. She thought she had the right intentions, but she was livid that Mick was with Coraline that night. She knew that she wasn't dating him, she still felt that he was cheating on her. She knew that it was a ridiculous thought, as she was dating someone, but she was jealous of Coraline. She also felt betrayed by Morgan, as she had been going behind her back all along, pretending to be someone else. And Mick, he was in a way, betraying her, as Coraline had ruined her life when she was a little girl.

She remembered how Coraline tried to force her to be in her "family". Mick wouldn't allow it and he saved her. Maybe that was why she felt so connected to him, as he had killed someone he loved in order to save her life. She knew she was forever in debt to him, but he was too stupid to realize that he was supporting the monster who had ruined his life in the first place.

Mick was still with Coraline, and she was finally in a private room. It looked like she was going to survive, but she would be in the hospital for a long time. Mick hadn't left her side at all, his obsession growing. He desperately wanted her to wake up, so he could ask her about the cure. Almost as though she read his thoughts, she regained consciousness.

"Coraline.." Mick whispered, with a small smile on his face. Coraline was still a little weak, so she could only manage to say "Mick."

"I've missed you so much…" he said softly, leaning closer.

She didn't say anything, but she looked into his eyes and he was once again mesmerized.

"Is there.. is there a cure?" he asked cautiously, not wanting her to use to much of her strength to answer him.

She merely smiled at him but lifted her hand up and stroked his cheek. Mock closed his eyes as he was yet again under the influence of his ex-wife. He leaned in and kissed her, not wanting to ever lose her again. He was under her spell and he knew it, but wasn't planning on breaking out of it any time soon.
