Caserella
Once upon a time, there was this boy who was good, kind and had a beautiful big blue eyes. His only defect: when he felt uneasy or threatened, his hands turned red and started to burn everything he touched. His father, who had to raise him by his own, made him promise, when he was very little, that he would never talk about his power to anyone. Not so many years later, his father married an awful lady with two awful daughters, but the same year he married this lady, he disappeared, leaving him alone with his new stepmother and stepsisters.
"Castiel! What have I told you about the sheets?" Screamed a middle-aged woman, walking down the stares. She seemed annoyed while she looked down to his stepson.
"That they need to be washed for tonight?" Replied tiredly the blue-eyed boy.
"Exactly, and can you tell me why they`re still dirty?" He contained the urges to reply with an angry commentary " Because you said for tonight and you also said that you needed the kitchen clean by the afternoon" He said with an emotionless face.
"Yes, but that's not an excuse for them not to be clean" She replied while she approached the boy "and you know what will happen if you don't do it" His before emotionless face now showed fear "Yes ma'am"
After this short argument, he went outside to wash the bed sheets. As he walked towards the well, he remembered the conversation he had with his stepmother two weeks ago.
"Castiel, Can you bring me the letters?" Asked his oldest stepsister. He went outside and picked the mail up. As he went into the house he noticed a golden envelope. How great was his surprise when he discovered that the mysterious letter was an invitation, the royal family was hosting a ball for the prince, and every young men and women in the country were invited.
He needed to go to that dance; it was an amazing opportunity for him to meet someone and get away from his house, or at least find a friend, since he didn't have any he could even meet the prince!
He entered the room quickly and closed the door behind him. After he passed the paper to his sister, he run towards his stepmother and said "Ma'am? Can I ask you something?" She stared at him, with a bored look "What do you need this time"
"Can I go to the ball?" She looked confused "What ball?" she asked. The boy looked at her full of hope "To the ball that the royal family is hosting at the end of this month, the newspaper said every young men and ladies were invited" After a moment of meditation, she gave him an answer " You can, but, with one condition" Cas stared at her, waiting for her to speak "You do everything I tell you, and you do it perfectly, no mistakes or complains allowed. Understood?" "Yes ma'am" Castiel said, is not like he didn't do that before.
After that, he had cleaned the entire house twice in only three days, take the three women shopping for dresses, and basically, been his stepmother and stepsisters personal slave. Fortunately, his misery will end this Friday.
Castiel looked tired as he washed the smelly sheets.
At the other side of the city, a young prince was about to lose his patience.
"Dean, can you at least pay attention to what I'm saying" Said a long-haired eleven year old "Oh Sam, believe me, I have been playing attention" Replied the soon-to-be-king prince "But I already know that" Sam formed a very scary bitch face "Oh. Really? Do you know how important it is for the kingdom? You have to find someone to get married! Or you cannot be king!" The kid said, bitch face still intact "I know Sammy, but I don't think a ball is the best way to meet someone" He said standing up from his throne " The only people that go to this kind of thing are usually pretty but also dumb ladies, or horny boys who only want to meet pretty but dumb ladies" After this comment, the little prince went silent, trying to think the best way to convince his brother to at least try to socialize at the ball.
The door of the room opened, interrupting their discussion. " Your highness, your presence is required at the meeting room" Said the butler, looking at the older brother. He quickly waved his head to his little brother and exits the throne room, leaving Sam by his own.
Two days for the ball, counted the dark-haired almost slave. His hair was even messier than usual, after he unsuccessfully tried to reach the top of the apple tree. His stepmother wanted the apple at the top. The only way he managed to not explode, or burn something this last two weeks was by thinking of the ball, and that every second it was closer.
The next two days went terribly slow for Castiel, but like a blur for the Prince, and, after all the waiting, one for an opportunity, and the other for a night of torture, the day arrived.
The night of Thursday, Cas didn't sleep, he was so exited, and nothing could ruin that day, or so he thought.
"Castiel! Come here!" He heard the angry voice of his stepmother. He runs downstairs, to the kitchen where the woman was standing. "Yes ma'am?" he looked confused, why is she so angry? He said to himself. "Look at this kitchen, does this look clean to you?" Castiel proceed to take a look to the kitchen. It was a complete mess; flour everywhere, eggs broken all over the floor, rotten fruit covered most of the kitchen, even the ceiling.
His hands started to feel wormer, how could that be? I cleaned it yesterday! He screamed in his mind. He heard his stepsisters laugh behind him, those bithces. "That's it," said the woman "You can't go to the ball, unless you clean this disaster in time" Her words where like a stab in the chest. He couldn't possibly clean all of that in less than two hours, there was no way he could go to the ball now, there was no hope. The only reason he moved is that his hands started burning his pants. With his hands now made into fists he replied, "Yes ma'am".
The time passed and, even though he tried to clean, the kitchen was still a mess. He said goodbye to his stepmother and his stepsisters, who, by the way, looked awful in their dresses. "Hey loser, we're going to a party" Where the last words her sisters directed to him before getting into the carriage.
A few minutes later, the young man was at the backyard, gardening, and trying to contain his tears, he would clean the kitchen later, he needed to calm down, and there was no rush, he wouldn't make it to the dance anyways. I wish I could go to the ball, he said to himself.
In that instant, he heard a noise behind him. He turned around prepared to defend himself, putting his arms in front of his body in an "I'm prepared for battle" pose. "Hey, easy boy, I'm not going to hurt you." Said a short guy that, apparently, had just appeared out of nowhere in Cas's yard.
"What are you" Asked Cas, still in his "battle pose". The guy stared at him with an annoyed look., "I'm here to grant your wish" Said in a serious tone.
Castiel looked at him very confused "What do you mean?" he asked.
"I just told you, I came here to make your wish come true " Said the strange man with a half smile. "And how do you know I wished something?" He said, worried. " I heard you" Replied the strange man "But lets get back to business, you have a ball to attend to".
Cas was so confused, how could that man help him go to the ball? "What do you mean a ball to attend to?" The strange man looked annoyed; he was getting tired of the questions. "Do you remember that ball you wanted to go? In a castle, hosted by the princeā¦" "Yes, I remember" Cas interrupted him "And you can help me go?" "Yes, I can, in fact" Cas was even more confused " Ok, quick explanation, I have the power to make wishes come true, so I heard your wish and now, if you don't quit making stupid questions I won't be able to do my job and send you to that stupid ball" Said annoyed "Ok, then, do your job, I guess" Cas said.
After a few minutes the man made a hamburger carriage and transformed the dirty clothes Castiel was wearing into a beautiful light blue suit.
"Have fun tonight. But, be back before midnight" Castiel thanked him and, in no time he was arriving at the castle.
"This party sucks" Dean said to Sam. He was sitting in his throne looking at the mass of people in the ballroom. "I know Dean, just, try to have fun, there has to be at least one person that you can talk to" Said Sam, tired of hearing his brother complain. The ball had just started and his brother was already being a bitch.
In that exact instant, a blue-eyed young man entered the ballroom, no one noticed him, except the older prince. Dean watched this very handsome man blend into the crowd. Dean stood up and went to talk to this beautiful stranger.
"Hi, would you like to dance?" Dean said to the stranger. "Yes" Said the man. They spent the hole evening dancing and talking; the prince didn't look away or talked to anyone but him. They felt so good, and comfortable with each other, it was a magic night. But at some point it had to end.
Castiel had forgotten about the time when the first bell rang, reminding him that he had to leave. "I must go" Castiel told Dean, he grabbed the princes left arm "What? Ouch!" the prince screamed as he felt his arm burning, but Castiel had already started to run towards the exit. "Please stay! " He screamed as he started to run behind this blue-eyed man "What's your name?"
Castiel didn't have time to answer. He ran towards the hamburger carriage, as his suit began to transform into his old dirty clothes. The carriage disappeared just before he could get in. Castiel found himself walking home in the middle of the night. He met the prince Dean, and he was beautiful, not only on the outside, his personality, his soul was so beautiful, even though it sounds very cheesy.
Later that night, after de ball was over, Dean still felt like his arm was burning. "What the hell?" There was a red mark in his arm, shaped like a hand. He poured some cold water in his arm and went to sleep, thinking about the blue-eyed stranger.
The next morning, Dean was awaken by Sam screams " Dean wake up!" "Why" he huffed, half asleep "You have to tell how it went last night! They told me you danced with this guy almost all night! Who was he? Did you like him? " All this poured really fast out of the child's mouth, he should have broken some kind of record, it was not possible that a child could talk that fast at that time in the morning. "It went good, more than good actually, I don't know who he is, and yes, very much" Replied the prince while sitting on his bed. "The problem is, I don't know how to find him, we talked, but he never said his name or where he lives" Dean sounded really frustrated.
"What the hell happened to your arm!?" Sam shouted when he noticed the red handprint in his older brother's left arm.
And then Dean had an idea. It was so obvious! There was a way to find this guy! Dean jumped out of bed, leaving his brother with the question unanswered.
Castiel woke up with the sound of people screaming outside. He got dressed and went to see what happened. There were a lot of people reunited, looking at what seemed to be the royal guards. He couldn't see well so he tried to get near the guards.
The whole morning have been a total disaster; hundreds of men have touched the handprint and none of them where even close to be the men he met at the ball, there was even a no-handed man that had tried for god's sake. Just when the prince lost all hope, he saw a blue-eyed man in the crowd. "You!" He screamed as he walked towards the man. He took his hand and put it in his arm. "It fits!" He said happily "What's your name?" Said the prince with a happy smile on his face "Castiel"
Little time after that, Castiel moved to the castle with his stepmother and stepsisters, and they where delegated to the kitchen and cleaning duties, they got married in the castle and had a big party to celebrate, they adopted children and they lived happily ever after.
The End.
