I was left there crying. No one was there to show me any kindness. I was all alone in the world. I felt like I would cry until my eyes were dry. Ever since I was younger, I would always be by myself when I cried, until that one fateful day when someone went to find me and actually help me.

….

That day was full of fun adventures and exciting moments. Who would've thought that everything would change in the blink of an eye? Everyone important to me was just killed and beaten. I was alone in the world. I thought my heart would be darkened, and I could never be hopeful again.

But then… far, far, far away in the distance, I saw a little glow of light barely visible. I wanted to feel the warmth that I once knew, so I headed towards the light. With each step I took, the light got bigger and wider. I could finally see the sun again. It made me so happy; tears welled up in my eyes. But then something unexpected happened.

"What are you doing here shrimp?" I turned to see the one person I'd never expect: Elliot Nightray. I was so shocked I didn't speak. I could see he was getting irritated, but I was unable to do anything. "Hey! Listen when someone is speaking to you!" He hit me over the head after saying those words.

"Ow! That hurt Elly!" I wanted to smile again and I could tell that helped me accomplish that goal. Little Elly was very angry now.

"Do NOT call me that!" He barked at me.

"And why not?" I questioned back. He took a step toward me and I took a step back. We kept doing that for a while until he suddenly disappeared. I was clueless as to where he went when all of a sudden to arms come from behind and hold me close.

"I know you went through many things, but just remember that there are always people by your side that will love and protect you." I was taken aback by his words, but then I turned so that we were facing each other. I hugged him back and started to cry a little.

"Thank you so much Elly! Thank you so much! Thank yo-." For the first time in a long while, I was able to get some peaceful sleep knowing that I would be okay!
