Roy and Lilina stood outside the castle, watching Eliwood and Hector duel lightly away from them.

"I suppose there's a point," said Lilina. "I'd prefer to just blow them up. Honestly, why use blades?"

"Not everyone can just summon and throw fire like you," said Roy.

"That's true," said Lilina.

"Besides there's always some fun in it," said Roy. "I've seen people make bets and things like that never it. I've never been part of it, but it looks interesting."

"Let's try it," said Lilina.

"What?" asked Roy, offhandedly. "Try it?"

"Yeah, try it," said Lilina. "Let's make a bet."

"What kind of bet?" asked Roy, narrowing his eyes.

"How about: if my dad wins, you have to… oh, shall we say…" said Lilina.

Endless possibilities were running through her mind. What could she get out of Roy? He'd never marry her on a whim like this, nor would he have sex with her. She decided to go simple and build up.

"…you have to kiss me," said Lilina.

"I'm sorry, did you say 'kiss'?" asked Roy, raising one eyebrow.

Kiss Lilina he thought. Lord Hector would probably kill me.

"Yes, kiss," said Lilina. "I've seen you do it many times before. You'll be fine."

"Okay, but if my dad wins… you have to…." began Roy.

Endless possibilities were now running through his mind. It would be childish to tell her to swim in a mud pool, or to hit someone in the back of the head with a pie. That would be not only immature, but it would cost Roy an entire pie. And God knew he had to have at least three ready for his eating. He wasn't going to sink to her level and tell her to kiss someone outrageous.

Only girls do that stuff, thought Roy.

What if he asked her to admit some deep, dark secret of hers, but it sounded extremely likely he would hear something he didn't want to… at least, he wouldn't want to hear it yet. At last, it came to his mind.

"You've got to try to use a sword," said Roy, grinning. "And I get to watch."

Lilina fixed him with a glare full of killing intent.

"Don't look at me like that," said Roy. "You thought of a stupid bet first."

Lilina looked away towards the fight.

"There'll be no need to satisfy you, 'Lord Roy'," she said. "My father won."

Roy's mouth fell open and he looked around at the duelists.

"But, I didn't… and, he was… I… uh… hmm…" said Roy.

"If anything, I don't have to stumble around using a sword," said Lilina.

"But I have to kiss you," said Roy. "I'd rather do anything else. ANYTHING!"

"Would that include going in a little farther then just plain kissing?" asked Lilina, sarcastically.

"I mean I'd rather do anything them engage in any romantic acts with you," said Roy.

"Whatever," said Lilina.

"Alright, hold still," said Roy.

He leaned in and kissed her, simple enough. Lilina blinked.

This is definitely not what I had in mind, but it'll do, she thought.
