Neji is a calm person. At least, that's what he likes to think. He views himself as a rational thinker. Someone who doesn't judge situations too quickly and thinks before he acts. There are rarely any moments in which he isn't his cool and collected self. Except for right now.

Neji is standing in the living room of his one-bedroom apartment, staring at what is supposed to be a human being sleeping in his living room. That would have been perfectly normal –Naruto and Kiba do it all the time-, if it wasn't for the fact that it is three am and he has no knowledge whatsoever about the person that is sprawled out on his couch. The stranger is wearing a green spandex jumpsuit, has thick eyebrows and a bowl cut, and all Neji can think is that he would remember if he had ever met someone like that before.

The man turns over in his sleep, promptly falls off the couch and bumps face-first into the coffee table. It seems to awaken the man, and he sleepily raises his head. His nose is bleeding, but he doesn't seem to notice. Instead his gaze is fixated on Neji.

"Flooooower of youth! You look different without your hair in buns!"

Neji wrinkles his nose in response. This man is way too loud for his tastes, like Naruto.

The man stumbles to Neji, tripping over his own feet multiple times. He only stops walking when he is far within the boundaries of Neji's personal space. Neji suppresses the urge to take a step back, and immediately regrets it when the man breathes in his face. His breath smells of alcohol, which is something Neji can't appreciate at three in the morning.

"Tenteeeeen! Did you… Get… Taller?" the man says, swaying from side to side.

This time Neji takes a step back. He isn't one to get intimidated easily, but there is no way he can stand to be in a close proximity with this man any longer. He needs to get him out of his apartment, and fast.

"Tenteeeeen…" drawls the man again, before falling over in Neji's arms, once again asleep.

For the first time in ages Neji doesn't know what to do, and he almost panics. Almost. Somewhere in the back of his mind he realizes he needs to get the sleeping beauty in his arms to whomever this Tenten person is. The name sounds familiar, and while he hasn't got a clue about the drunk, he is sure he knows a person by that name. It takes a few minutes to realize that the girl that lives in the apartment across from his is called Tenten. He should have known when this stranger started talking about buns.

Neji drags the man out of his apartment and within a few steps he is in front of Tenten's door. He rings the bell and prays she is a light sleeper. He has to ring the bell a few times more before the door finally opens. In front of him is a short girl, clad in panties and a tank top, her hair up in two sloppy buns. She is carrying a metal bat in one hand, ready to beat up anyone who might attack her.

"What the fuck? It's in the middle of the night!" she snarls as soon as she sees him. Neji opens his mouth to explain, but she beats him to it.

"Lee!" she gasps.

"I believe you two are acquainted?"

After a short explanation on Neji's part, Tenten opens the door further and motions for him to come inside.

"I'm sorry about Lee," she says with an apologetic look on her face. "He can't handle alcohol very well…"

Neji walks into Tenten's apartment, dragging the half-conscious man with him. It is similar to his, except hers is in a state of disarray. The couch is covered with books and… Weapons? He vaguely recognizes a katana. Tenten notices too and quickly shoves everything on the ground.

"Just put him the couch," she instructs. She walks out of the living room and returns soon after with a blanket and throws it over Lee's sleeping form. An awkward silence follows.

"Ehm… Thanks..?" she starts, looking questioning at him.

"Neji," he finishes for her. "Neji Hyuuga."

Tenten raises her head in surprise. "Aren't you from…?"

"The apartment across? Yes."

"I'm Tenten," she says, holding out her hand. They shake hands and Neji nods. Tenten yawns.

"We should probably try to get another few hours of sleep," Neji says. They wish each other good night and Neji walks back to his own apartment.

Also, on an important note: this is currently a one-shot, but I might add another chapter. I've got a rough idea, but I need to see if it'll work.

That's it for this time. Feel free to leave a review! To the people who left a review on Goodnight: thank you! I loved reading your thoughts on the story!
