They had nothing to say to each other.
He had clothed her from the cold air that swept through her wet dress sending chills and goose bumps sprawling across her skin. He'd led her through the frightening trials of beginning to overcome her fear of heights by distracting her. He escorted her around a dangerous city so that she could find her "boyfriend" and quench her guilt of bringing him here. He took a bullet for her to save her from ever feeling such excruciating pain. He was tortured for her and followed her; all to protect her.
She put her faith in him and learned what it was like to trust someone. She brought down the House of Cards, as the previous Alice had and restored freedom to Wonderland once more. The reign of tyranny was over, but at an expensive cost; she lost her father and though a lot of Oysters had been a victim to his teas and tests, they were mostly forgiving considering he had been a victim, himself.
Altogether, their gain outweighed the loss. She had overlooked her fear of heights to rescue the one she loved. Not the prince with his aires and graces and not the father she'd thought she lost.
No, she did it all for Hatter.
"David" Hatter.
Her Hatter.
And in the end, as she walked into the living room and ran up to him to suffocate him in a hug, though few words were spoken, their love spoke volumes.
