Summary: Keeping him company after Clemont's departure, Serena and Bonnie decide to let Ash sleep in their tent.

Snuggle Bunnelbies

It was nightfall. Ash and his crew stopped Team Rocket from controlling the Electric Plant that energized Lumiose City and Clemont's Luxio evolved to Luxray a day after Ash's Goomy evolved to Sliggoo. After the rescue, a helicopter took Clemont back home and to the Prism Tower so that he could prepare for Ash's gym battle against him. This left Ash with Serena and Bonnie. Unfortunately, the threesome and their Pokémon friends couldn't find the next town on their way so they set up camp. Either Clemont had Ash's tent or Ash didn't know how to set one up because he chose to roll out his sleeping bag adjacent to the campfire while the girls set their tent up. Ash made some tea, Serena made dinner and Bonnie fed Pikachu, Dedenne and Fennekin. "I wonder what will happen after I beat Clemont for his Badge?" he wondered, pretty concerned with the team's morale.

"What are you getting worked up about?" Bonnie asked curiously.

"I'm just thinking that after I beat Clemont back in Lumiose City, if he's still gonna travel with us or stay to meet more trainers for his badge. It also concerns you and Dedenne, too." Its name mentioned, Dedenne looked up to Ash a little befuddled. Serena figured out what Ash was trying to say.

"I believe that when Ash gets your brother's badge in the Prism Tower, you and Clemont will stay home while Ash and I continue our journey," she summarized. Bonnie's eyes lit up, fearful of being separated from Ash and Serena.

"No, I don't wanna go away from you two!" she cried. "I don't wanna go away from Pikachu, or Fennekin, or Pancham or even Sliggoo! I still wanna find someone to be Clemont's wife! Someone to take care of him besides me!" Both Ash and Serena understood her concerns, hoping to resolve what fears she brought up.

"Relax," he tried to ease the little sister. "From all we know, Clemont will reactivate ClemBot and we'll still proceed on with our journeys. Besides, I'd like to see what else he can invent. After all, science is so amazing..."

"...Until it blows up in our faces," Serena finished. That was a low blow and Ash wanted to defend Clemont's work.

"Not every invention backfired. Heck, his Sticky Web machine helped with Viola's Bug-Type Pokémon." The girls remembered the invention but not how Ash saw it.

"The malfunctioning part, perhaps," Bonnie reminded. Serena laughed at Bonnie's comeback. Soon enough, every bowl and plate didn't have a nibble. Everyone was hungry.

"I'm full," Serena sighed with a smile.

"I'm stuffed," Ash belched, something Bonnie giggled to.

"I'll take that as a compliment to the chef. You guys over there have enough?" The Pokémon chimed to say they're full.

"Okay, I'll wash the dishes."

"Thanks, Ash," Bonnie praised. After washing the dishes, the girls and Pokémon entered the tent while Ash applied firewood to the campfire. Once he got the fire lit more, he found the bag and started tucking himself when Serena popped her head out. Ash liked the new look of Serena after falling apart at the Coumarine TriPokéThon.

"Ash?" she called out. Ash was halfway in his bag but turned to the call.

"Yeah, Serena?" he replied.

"Why don't you come in this tent? At least stay out of the cold." An offer that any boy could take. Ash blinked, wondering why Serena would invite him to their tent.

"I'm okay... really." To Serena, Ash didn't want to sleep with girls. The denial didn't stick with her.

"Look, it might be better to join us. I don't want you to catch a cold." Ash knew Serena was looking out for him. He didn't give in to pressure, it's like a Pokémon battle. However, he felt needed to keep the group's spirit up despite the parting of Clemont. He got up and gathered his bag.

"Fine. I'm coming." He made his way to the tent with the bag in arm.

"You can leave your bag near your stuff. We have a king-size blanket that Bonnie picked out." Ash flustered a heavy sigh. Never before with Misty or May or Dawn or Iris that a girl invited him to sleep under the same blanket. He tossed the bag with the rest of the gang's equipment and entered the tent, seeing Bonnie tucked in a giant blanket which was covered by a garden of Flabébé.

"Cute, Bonnie."

"I know, isn't it?" she grinned. Ash reached the other side before sliding his feet under the sheet.

"Um, could you scoot towards Bonnie, please?" requested Serena. Responding, Ash shimmied a few inches to Bonnie while Serena walked around before adjusting in as well.

"I can now say this is a first for me, personally," he admitted. "Sleeping in the same tent with a girl, let alone two." This shocked Serena and Bonnie without Pikachu or Dedenne letting out a little electricity.

"What?!" gasped Bonnie and Serena to the news.

"Yeah... It never happened with Misty, May, Dawn or Iris." The information told the girls that while Ash may have traveled with these other girls, none of them allowed Ash to snuggle under the same blanket or futon.

"Who were these other girls?!" demanded Serena.

"Misty's the Gym Leader in Cerulean City in Kanto, May's the daughter of the Gym Leader in Petalburg City in Hoenn, Dawn's a Pokémon Coordinator from Twinleaf Town in Sinnoh and Iris is the upcoming Gym Leader in Opelucid City in Unova. Still, they didn't really care about me as much as you two." Bonnie's arms snagged Ash around the neck in enjoyment.

"Thank you, Ash!" she praised before passing out. She's tired.

"Perhaps tomorrow, we can train for the Gym Battle," she suggested. Ash could use some training for Clemont's Pokémon like Luxray or Helioisk.

"Sounds like a good idea," he agreed. "Night!" Finally, he lied back and closed his eyes. In that second, he's asleep. Watching the boy who saved her back at camp when they were younger, she leaned over and gave him a kiss just below his eye. No doubt he never got that from those girls. Pikachu and Dedenne snoozed by each other. During the night, the three humans, cozy among each other didn't make a peep. Suddenly, Serena started rotating her body toward Ash, her knee wrapping around his. A soft but unusual moan croaked from her throat. It alerted Pikachu when his ears twitched and he woke up.

("Who's up?") groaned the Electric Mouse Pokémon. His squeak woke Dedenne who didn't like the sudden alert.

("Bro, what's going on?") the Antennae Pokémon wondered.

"Stay..." whispered Serena in her unconsciousness. "Stay..." Both Electric-Type Pokémon crawled on Bonnie and looked over to Serena jostling about. "Stay... by..." The Pokémon looked mystified with what Serena was doing.

("Bro, what is she saying?")

("I'm not sure,") Pikachu struggled to answer. Serena's head inched closer to Ash's, neither aware of their presence.

"Stay... by..." she repeated again as she leaned toward Ash's ear. Pikachu wasn't sure what she's trying to say.

("'Stay by?' Stay by what?") An idea popped up in Dedenne's head.

("Stay by us?") it guessed. ("Stay by Bonbon? I'm not sure.") The Pokémon talking abruptly woke Bonnie who spotted the two.

"Pikachu?" she tiredly groaned. "Dedenne? What are you doing up at this time?" The two realized they rudely awakened the youngest member of the troupe.

("Bonnie? It's Big Sis!") The tired-eye blond blinked. She didn't really understand Pokémon language but Pikachu tried his luck.

("Serena's doing something to Ash,") he whispered. This fully alerted Bonnie who looked up and saw the squirming Serena who nuzzled her cheek on Ash's arm. Poor Ash... completely unaware of Serena's actions. Then again, there's a good chance she doesn't realize it either. Her neck on his shoulder, her lips reached for his ear.

"Stay... by..." her lips mouthing. Upon contact, she pinched his earlobe with her lips, her arms snaking around his head to perhaps bring in for a kiss. She wanted more. "Stay... by..." Now Bonnie wanted to know the deal with Serena's acts.

"Stay by..." she repeated Serena's words. "Stay by me?" Despite being jostled head and leg by Serena, Ash still sawed logs. That's a heavy sleeper.

"Stay... by... scare..." Bonnie's eyes read the lip, a new thought to what it may be.

"She's scared?" Neither Pikachu or Dedenne could know what Serena's scared of now.

("What could she be scared of?") wondered Pikachu. That's when a theory stemmed.

"Is she having a nightmare?" The idea wrecked Dedenne's nerves to its whiskers. It reminded the Antennae Pokémon of Sliggoo when it was Goomy and the images it saw prior to meeting Ash.

("...Or a bad memory?") As they watch, Serena's lips formed a fluctuating circle while having laboring breaths and moving her body rapidly.

"Now what?" Despite the jerking around, Ash remained in his dream land. It's like he could sleep through road construction sounds like jackhammers, trucks backing up and impatient drivers. For a minute, Serena's face pained from the jostling around him, sweat poured from about every pore and breathing to the point of asphyxiation. That's when she released a moan before collapsing on Ash softly, her mouth pressing on his neck as she tried to catch her breath. Whatever trauma woke the Pokémon and Bonnie ended with the three more confused than a victim of a concussion.

"Stay... by me," she whispered, still out of oxygen. "...Forever." That helped clear the confusion to Bonnie and the Pokémon. It wasn't a nightmare but a pleasant dream.

"For a second, I believed Serena's having that nightmare or recalling the past with Ash." At least everything was back to peace until Bonnie realized she's been left out. "Wait a second! I wanna get comfortable with Ash, too!" She tucked her head on Ash's other arm before her body under the blanket before giving Ash a kiss on the other cheek. Maybe this was what Clemont had planned as he left for the Prism Tower with Chespin, Luxray and Bunnelby. That's when she fell asleep for the second time, as did Pikachu and Dedenne. The sun rose hours later. Ash and Serena emerged from the tent looking lively. They appeared to have had a good night's rest despite what happened overnight.

"Looks like another great day," he noted.

"Sure does!" Serena agreed. They got to work making a fire to start breakfast for the three of them and their Pokémon. Speaking of, Serena released Fennekin and Ash let Fletchinder free to start and fan the campfire. Ash soon felt his leg soaked. He didn't drink anything but did remember it was by Serena.

"Hey, Serena? Do you know why my leg feels like it was in a puddle all night?" A shake of the head was her response. She did notice about her person and that her thighs were as wet as Ash's leg.

"Now that you mention it, I feel soaked, too." Both trainers got a hint that it may not be a coincidence.

"Weird..." Regardless of their watered bodies, Ash got the fire started.

"Ash, could you make sure Bonnie's awake?" Accepting the task, Ash returned to the tent as Serena's hung a kettle to boil water. He looked inside, finding Pikachu and Dedenne awake, but not Bonnie. He could use Pikachu's Thnderbolt or Dedenne's Nuzzle to wake her up.

"Looks like you two are up and at 'em." Pikachu looked somewhat surprised to see Ash fully awake in contrast what occurred under the moon.

("How could you be fully awake after what Serena did to you?") Pikachu gawked a little.

("Yeah, what he said!") Dedenne tried to add. Instead of answering those questions, Ash shook Bonnie up on Serena's request. Bonnie's eyes creaked open little by little.

"Time to get up," he called. Bonnie soon came to full alert mode when a discolor on Ash's neck surfaced.

"Ash?" she gulped. "Did Serena give you that?" Pointing, Ash fingered his neck in thought it may be a bruise. It didn't feel like a bruise.

"Give me what?" Bonnie grabbed her Sentret Mirror and pointed the glass to Ash who saw the discoloration.

"Looks like a hickey." Ash couldn't help but stare at the hickey as Serena and Fennekin wanted to know what kept Ash in the tent.

"Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes," she warned. Both human and Pokémon friends shot glances at Serena before Ash pointed to the hickey.

"Do you mind explaining this?" he questioned. When she spotted the hickey, Serena's skin flushed. The reddened cheeks, the paling skin and no clear explanation for the neck mark.

"Whispering to him," Bonnie listed. "Nibbling on his ear, rubbing his leg, lips over his face and neck..." Serena's deadpan face couldn't believe or understand her actions.

"Did I really do that?" she muttered sheepishly. The Pokémon nodded to the claim. Fennekin wasn't sure how to react to her master's behavior when she slept. While no one could figure out Serena tucked in, that became the least of their problems as once breakfast is eaten, it's back to training.
