Author's Note:

Hey… it's been a while since I wrote a fanfiction and I was having a romance-theme fanfic contest with my friend when this idea just… popped. I won the contest anyway so I hope you like this Tratie fic. This is a one-shot, but I'll see how successful it is and maybe I'll make it longer.

Paralyzed

Travis is paralyzed. He couldn't speak and he couldn't move. This is the world of Travis. He can hear everything, see everything, feel everything, but he just can't express it. He understand he's a son of Hermes, he remembers he have a younger brother name Connor and he knows that he's in love.

Her name was Katie Gardner. Travis rarely remember talking to her before getting in this state. She was a newbie and a summer-camper while Travis was a year-long camper.

The first thing Travis noticed the first week was that she obviously have a temper problem (he acknowledged this when she started yelling at the potted plant by his window), and but seem to enjoy Travis' company. After all, he's a good listener, that's all a paralyzed person could do.

Sometimes because he couldn't reply, he make up comebacks in his head.

"How's it going Travis?" Katie asked walking into the room, then froze. "Oh, right. You can't answer… Sorry, that's just cruel."

I'm fine, thanks for asking.

"I heard your brother, Connor was it? He's coming to visit you."

That's great! Thanks for telling me.

"It's sweet of him to visit you every day."

Connor? Sweet? You must be talking about another brother of mine.

"Anyway, I got to go check on the other plants. Bye Travis."

Bye Katie.

And so, Katie started visiting him monthly. Then weekly, and soon it was an everyday routine for Travis to wake up, get propped up, stare at the wall and then Katie would walk in, with a new problem she have and planned to talk about with him.

To be honest, he doesn't really mind Katie pouring over him with stress. It made him feel important. Needed. Something most people doesn't feel on a daily bias.

Then one day, Katie walked in crying her eyes out. Her chest heaving and tears streaming down her face.

Travis didn't know what happened, something snapped when he saw the tearful face of Katie Gardner. The next thing he knew, he was up and walking toward Katie. He hugged her and patted her back.

"There, there. Everything is going to be alright." He hoped it worked. It always worked when he impersonate as Baymax when his cabin mates are upset.

Katie stared at the boy who was hugging her in shock. Travis grinned at her, his smile slightly crooked, still not very use to moving by himself. He tested out the other parts of his body. Bones? Check. Joints? Stiff, but in shape. Voice? Scratchy and raw, but otherwise he felt like himself. Or himself from long ago.

"Hi, I'm Travis Stoll. And I'm here to stole your heart."
