Who We Were
He's not sure when he stopped seeing him as his little brother, but it disturbs him that things have gotten so wrong. Somehow things went sideways and they hadn't been able to right it.
He's enjoying the freedom of not having to take care of his family. He's never not had them to worry about.
But as Cas hands him back his necklace, a memory surfaces of a forgotten Christmas and the little brother that gave him the necklace.
He knows that they won't ever be that way again but that doesn't mean he doesn't miss his kid brother.
