Author's Note: This is a quick little one-shot that came to me in the aftermath of Episodes 88 and 89 while I should have been doing my job, as most of these fanfictions do.

Care Packages and Heartaches.

Lizzie was surprised by the care package waiting for her when she got home from school. She asked her sisters and neither knew who it was from. They could only tell her that it had been delivered express while she was at the library and that Lydia was dying to know what was in it.

She took out the card that was attached to the box and smiled at the note: "To celebrate the good news. -Your Care Package Executive."

Fitz.

She smiled fondly at the memories of their last care package venture before it became serious with talks of Darcy. That day he had proved himself quite capable of following the three components of a care package: fun, food and love.

The fun came as soon as she opened the lid and a cloud of multi-coloured confetti exploded into the air, coating the kitchen table, the floor and all three Bennet sisters who had gathered together to see what had been sent. On first thing they saw once the confetti cleared was the movie that Fitz had talked about for hours with her, having told her that she dead to him when he discovered that she had never seen it. He had meant to sit her down to watch it, but had never gotten around to it before she left for home.

Next came food with three kinds of homemade cookies, her favourite tea from a small shop she had discovered in the city, and more types of candy than she could keep track of.

Her laughter died on her lips at the love at the bottom of the box. There was a stuffed animal: a lobster. It was wearing a Newsie hat.

Lydia and Jane looked at her sister silently as she held the oversized red sea animal to her chest in a sad hug. It was love alright, a love that she still wished she had.

There was another note attached to a small gift box wrapped with a bow: "Think of these as place-holders until the real thing is there again. Take care Lizzie B."

Setting her lobster aside, she lifted the lid to the thin box. There was a framed picture from her day sight seeing with the Darcy family. It had been her favourite: she and Darcy together talking, unaware that their picture was being taken. Candid, it had been called on twitter.

The three of them went into the den silently, the mess in the kitchen forgotten. They were going to watch the movie, all of them wanting to take their minds off the concerns as of late. Jane and Lydia both had their arm loaded with candy and Lizzie followed with her armload of love. And as they settled back on the couch they were all aware that in one way or another all three of them were there together: each with an aching heart.

Sorry it wasn't the happiest of fics, just something I thought about which united them. I've found that there was nothing like care packages and heart aches to bring people together.
