Clint had laughed at her when she brought 'it' home. A poor, lost little kitten, Rose, all alone and afraid in the big, bad world. Natasha stroked its head as she dried the raindrops of its silken fur, a warm feeling settling around her as it purred…

A warm kitchen, filled with life, laughter and love. A mother kissed her husband on the cheek enfolding her daughter into her soft embrace. She squealed and tried to pull away, but never wanting to let go. The woman laughed and rubbed her daughter's head, pushing her gently away and out the door into the slowly falling Russian snow…

She stopped outside a café, enthralled by the noises of laughter inside. She smiled slowly until a waiter shoed her away. She went, stopping to pick a newly formed flower before she went. The first signs of life…

Shawarma he called it. Natasha didn't quite know what it was, or even if she liked it. She paused mid bite and looked around. Tony chewed halfheartedly, Bruce looked at it like it might suddenly rear up and attack him and Steve didn't even chew. Thor was the only person who was really eating, but then again… he ate anything. She glanced next to her. Clint chewed slowly, looking at the table. He glanced up at her and winked a soft smile on his lips. Natasha smiled and turned back to her Shawarma. She liked it…
