Misfortune

First, her father had died.
**Flashback** "I'm sorry Mrs. Dolph, Mrs. Jackson, his body was found this morning." **End**
Then, her husband had gone.
**Flashback** "Hung himself in his cell.." **End**
She'd survived though, she had been strong. Until...
**Flashback** "Wrists slit...left a letter to you...obvious suicide..." **End**
That was when she'd lost the baby. That was when fate had comdemed her to and endless misery.
Joining the Navy had been the right decision, she knew in her heart. She'd simply go to war, and die in combat to join her family.
But Life's a bitch.
Never, in one training exercise, or one live combat situation, had she ever been injured. Not once.
Lady Luck, that's what she'd been called. It fit though, as she'd be the only one who'd never needed to see a docter unless she was sick.
When she joined Dead Cell, she'd been codenamed 'Fortune,' For seemingly endless string of luck. God, she hated it. She thought if she stretched her luck far enough, it would stop, and she could finnaly die.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Life's a bitch.
But today, today it would all change. If a bullet didn't kill her, than a bomb might. Or a bridge would be blown away when she was on it. Today, she felt in her heart, would be the day she'd see her family once more...

"No...Alone again? Cheated out of death again? Why!?! You've punished me enough. How much longer, dad...?"

"I could have died whenever I wanted to?"

"All of our misfortune was just a part of their project?"
