Chapter 1: Awakening
I opened my eyes to find myself in a dark space with only one other being, a wolf.
The wolf had pure black fur and blood red eyes.
"I see, young master, you have now awoken into this world, the contract realm.
What is your goal?" The wolf asked.
"My goal? Hmm. My goal is to find my parents. But that may never happen," I replied.
"Do not be so sure of yourself my lord. Please make a contract with me, the demon, and you shall have what you want in exchange for one thing. Your soul."
"Sure. I couldn't care less about my soul just please help me!" I ordered.
"As you wish but first, you must name me."
I thought. What about my deceased brother's name? "Hmm. Nicholas. Nicholas Syre.
"Now we must place the mark. Where would you like me to put it?"
I pointed to my neck. Suddenly, Nicholas pounced and bit my neck. I awoke.
"Edward!" Yelled a girl with long brown hair as she jumped on my bed.
"Edward, you're awake!" she laughed.
"Charlotte, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm here to talk to you about the day that I become Mrs. Hellshire."
Oh yes. Charlotte is my fiancee.
I smiled. "Perhaps you should get out. I must get dressed."
She nodded and left the room laughing.
As I buttoned up my shirt, I yelled. "AHHH!"
Charlotte rushed up to my room and saw me grasping my neck. It was burning like hell.
"Edward! Let me see!" I turned my neck towards her. A mark was carving itself into my neck.
It was a star surrounded by a circle, styled with emerald green markings.
PREVIEW Chapter 2: Arrival After my neck stopped hurting, the servants made Charlotte and I breakfast. It was then that it happened.
