The thirst was agenizing. It was as though someone had staked Remota in the lungs and the air was escaping through each of the wounds not stopping until she was on her knees taking in her last breath.
She needed food. To be more specific she needed blood, any blood of something that needs oxygen to survive so basically any living thing. Remota really had the craving for human, but no she belonged to Circle Daybreak she can't go against it that would be like eating anyone of them… The thirst was growing stronger. Begging Remota to give in, to use her natural born instinct as a vampire, to drain any human scum for their delicious blood. NO Remota thought to herself I can't, just go into the woods and eat a doe or something. She begged her body to move toward the forest that was so close, luckily her body agreed and walked to the forest.
The forest wasn't the place for a vampire even a vampire like Remota, one of the best in the Night World. Being surrounded by the trees, a.k.a. wood that could kill a vampire no matter how strong, with a single jab through the heart or permanently injure with even the smallest splinter wasn't exactly paradise.
Just get a deer and were done here that's it! Remota thought using her senses to find a deer in the woods this late at night. Her grey eyes can see better than a humans especially in the dark and using her finely tuned ears she could hear the buzzing of a fly that was a mile away.
CRACK! A twig snapped in the distance, within a millisecond Remota had sprung in the direction of the crack dodging trees swiftly without making a sound, the urge of the thirst leading her with her sensitive fangs blaring. Before she knew it she was in a clearing with her sights locked on to the deer that was prancing through the fresh fall leaves.
Remota took one final leap, sending herself high into the air and landing on top of the deer sinking her fangs into the neck of the now defenseless creature. The blood pouring into her mouth, filling her with sweet relief. She could feel the warm liquid enter her blood stream filling her muscles with oxygen curing her thirst. Once the deer was sucked dry Remota dropped its lifeless body into the leaves. Remota wiped her mouth with her sleeve removing the last traces of blood from her chin.
CRACK! Remota turned around in an instant to face whatever creature made the noise.
"Figure you would show up here,"
