Another random idea I came up with. It will might not be accurate because it has been a while since I've watch/read that anime.

A beautiful princess with short black hair was on trial for going against the kingdom's laws. Her punishment would be her execution. The time of her execution continued to move ahead. The last change would be at exactly noon the next day, three days ahead from the last change.

The princess was locked up in a cell with no one for company. Although, every now and then the young servant boy would come to clean the cell when there was nothing to clean. The boy wanted to know why she was in trouble. The princess told him her story.

She explained about how she saved a peasant's life and his family. She couldn't go back to her kingdom yet because of a few killers that wanted her dead. She attended the school of the supposed peasant in the disguise of one. She stayed at his house without his family knowing. The peasant was kind enough to let her sleep in his bed while he stayed on the floor. For payment of his kindness, the princess taught him all she knew about fighting so he could protect his family.

The princess fled from the peasant's home during the night because she knew she had been away too long. One of the kingdom's guards and one of the kingdom's princes came after her to take her home. The peasant found the princess and fought against the guard. He won against him but lost against the prince. He tried desperately to get back up but the princess forced him back on the ground. "If you go after me, I'll never forgive you," were the last words she said to him while trying not to let her tears drip from her face. The three left, leaving the peasant to die.

The day after the princess told the story to the servant boy, he was not allowed to go to her cell anymore. It was too late though since her execution was the next day.

The time passed by quickly and it was time for her to be killed. The other princes and princesses were there to watch, so they would know not to do that act. The princess would be burned to death, because the king thought she should suffer for her crime.

As the fire was about to reach her, she was saved by a knight. After they escaped, the princess thanked the knight. He had laughed, saying she had told him she would never thank him.

Turns out the knight was actually the peasant. He knelt in an official manner and spoke a question.

"Rukia?"

The soulreaper jumped awake at the sound of her name. She adverted her gaze to see Ichigo towering over her, carrying both of their school bags. He gestured to the classroom. "School's over. It's time to go home."

Rukia nodded his head unconsciously and followed the boy out of the school to the streets of the city. After a couple silent moments, Rukia asked, "If you go back to the time of prince and princesses, what do you think you would be?"

Without a moment to think, Ichigo answered, "I would be a knight." He turned his head to give her his famous smirk. "And you would be my princess."
