Prologue

*Amu POV*

Here I, Amu Kahagi 16 years old, stand ready to accept my fate that I have decided, not them. I'm doing this because I believe its the only way to end this god forsaken life. My arm making a puddle of blood in the soft, white, carpet. Shattered glass digging in to my feet as I step closer to the broken window feeling the warm blood trickle down my arm, pain slapping me across the face every time I even move. I looked across the blue ocean lining the beautiful orange and red sky, the perfect color to match my dripping arm, I looked down to see a crowd of people begin to form around the glass that had recently fell and was covering the pavement.

Smiling to myself thinking how it will all be over soon, all the pain and agony. I leaned forward as though I had wings and was fixing to take off. I jumped from the 11th story further than I thought I would, but still heading for pavement I couldn't control the way I spun and tumbled. That's when a sudden strong gust of wind blew me right at a tree I hit it with a heart stopping crunch coming from both me as I felt an immense amount of pain all over my body and the tree branch as it fell down on the concrete. Rolling in agony, I slipped through the large gap between the sidewalk and the railing that kept pedestrians safe from falling into the ocean. I went straight into the ocean, choking on the water that seem to come from nowhere, a wave the size off a whale took me under. I actually began to panic kicking up, trying to reach the surface again, but failed as another wave brought me deeper. I heard thunder cackle loudly as though god was laughing at my struggles. I finally gave feeling my body weekend and the salt water stinging my eye's.

My blood-colored the water a crimson red as I sunk deeper, getting swallowed by darkness. I was most likely miles from shore now and could see the waves still raging above. I could feel the loss of air beginning to tighten my chest. I looked at the sky that was now lined with black clouds and lightning. I realized I was beginning to float up again. I knew though I was just going to be beaten down by the waves again. I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. Whipping my head around, fear began running through my veins. I looked back to where I saw it and there it was heading straight for me. A shark.
