II - Dancing
Hiei was much shorter than her but his stubbornness prevented him from accepting it and he insisted on leading their dance. He swept them skillfully moving around the dance floor like he was on a mission. Botan let him lead, keeping inside herself stifled giggles as she turned and twirled at Hiei's discretion, politely ignoring the look of concentration on his face. For a man who could harness a dragon inside himself he seemed to almost be overcome by the strain of dancing across a floor filled with those doing very much the same as he and Botan. His height wouldn't have been an issue perhaps, if he could only have seen over Botan's shoulder but alas that was not a gift granted to him so instead Botan became quite accustomed to suddenly swinging out of the way of someone behind her. It was unconventional but somehow, it worked for them all too well. As they made their way across the floor Hiei's focused movements began to lose precision as he watched Botan twirling in his arms. An angel of death, she adorned her title all too well, shining brighter than any celestial being he'd seen before. This dance was not just a dance between them, it was a promise of things to come and both looked forward to the future that was in store.
