Our new house was on the edge of a forest, so while mum was cooking I went to explore.
I hadn't gone very far in when I heard a faint rustling of leaves. I dismissed it as a small animal and continued walking.
Then I heard a similar sound, this time from up in the trees, only it sounded closer and from a much larger animal than before.
The sound came from in front of me, so rather then risk it I turned around to go home. And there they were, standing in front of me.
Seemingly human, but with godlike beauty, dark red eyes and ice white skin. I read enough twilight to know what they were.
Vampires.
How exiting. I was feeling a mix between fear and curiosity. I knew that I had to surprise them to keep myself alive.
So I said the first thing that came to mind…
