"But why are you defending that David? He did it. He raped Alex." Simon retorted.

"But Mr. Tepper said that David is no good liar."
"Do you always let people think for you." Roman looked at him with his bad eye.
"But Roman, people are calling you China Lover."
Burd could not stay silent. "Enoug' of this back sass" Her grammer was as good as anyone else's, but when she got angry it got all messed up. " Go to your room."
Simon stormed out of the room. He heard Spencer behind "You never give him a chance, Roman."
Everyday at school people have been calling Roman a China lover. "If your Dad loves China so much why don't he marry 'em" Simon beat him up for saying that. Simon hated school.
"Spencer does it get better." Spencer just shook his head. "They always teach you stuff you already know Spencer." Spencer and I were walking home when she started yelling.
"Hey you two boys get over here." Old Miss Quigley was disgusting. She had wrinkly skin and her gums were raw from spitting tobacco. "You have start acting like boy Simon. You have to like girls" She was just angry at Roman for being a China Lover.
Spencer couldn't take it anymore. He punched old Mrs. Quigley and destroyed her tomato vines. People say he is growing up and needs time to himself so Simon didn't stop him. He did not stop him even though Old Mrs. Quigley carried an old civil war gun. She was shaking with anger.
"You boys. Get Out!"
Spencer and Simon didn't speak a word even as they passed Bloom Radley's home. They didn't even say a word to Roman when he came home.
"Simon. Spencer. Get over here." Roman barely even raised his voice. He was to well breed for that kind of thing. " Did you attack Old Mrs. Quigley?"
"Yes." Spencer didn't look up.
"I want you to apologize."
"Yes Sir."
"And she requests you
