Author Notes: Just to get this out of the way Naruto will be different, the story will be somewhat AU but not by much other than a few changes to characters roles and some personalities amongst a few other things, Naruto will use multiple magics, not a lot at max he will use 4 main ones with a bunch of supplementary ones like Thought Projection, Requip and whatnot, pairing is Dimaria and Naruto no exceptions and no others. Do not expect a lot of quick updates due to work among other things that pop up in life I don't often have time to sit down and write but I will update when I can, its the same with my other stories.

Beginnings
Outskirts of Hargeon Town:
On the outskirts of Hargeon Town a young man was sitting on a cliff in a standard meditation position, enjoying the day and taking the time to relax before he had to set off again, he was not alone though.
Brown curious eyes were watching him from the trees behind him, a young girl with blonde messy hair, and fair skin, was sitting in a tree behind him, observing him, she had been watching him for the past few days he didn't talk much at all, only really motioning with his body in certain ways to get his words across.
The one thing that confused her though was that on the lower half of his face, he had a metal mask on that covered him face from nose to chin, there was 4 slits in the metal where his mouth was obviously there so he could breathe, and while abnormal for someone to wear it wasn't what confused her, no it was the fact he never took it off, even while sleeping!
She had been sent to find him by her teacher after he figured out that he couldn't make her his vessel, he decided she would carry on his will in earthland becoming his champion, after which he told her to find this man since he would become he companion in life, and possibly lover as well, that had made her blush like mad when he said that.
When she had asked why this person in particular was chosen to be her companion in life, he simply told her she would understand when she had her first confrontation with him.
She was understandably confused but did what he said and found the person her teacher told her about, and she would admit, that even with his lower face covered he really was a looker.
At about her age, 20, he was built like a fortress, he stood at about 7 feet tall, red hair, lean, muscular and athletic looking, a sharp looking beard on his face that went past his chin a few inches, but was shaped perfectly to fit the contours of his jawline.( just google dan bilzerian beard to see what it generally looks like)
He wore a pair of black combat boots, with black baggy combat pants to go with them, a mesh shirt with a black skin tight shirt on top of it, to finish off his look he wore a long black trench coat with gold long sleeves and a gold trim around the shoulders, down the arms, around the wrist along the hems and 2 parallel to each other straight down the middle of the back of the coat.
He was definitely good looking in her eyes, but his actions confused her to no end, which leads to the current situation at hand, she was tired of waiting and had decided to confront him.
She quietly stepped out of the tree she was standing in and started walking towards him, her mind alive going a thousand miles a second going through any and all things that could happen during this first meeting.
Upon her reaching him she was shocked to find that he was already looking at her as if waiting for her to say something.
She gathered herself before speaking.
"I wonder what my teacher sees in you to have me seek you out." she said in an annoyed tone.
He simply snorted, before snapping his fingers and the whole world froze before he stood and whispered into her ear in a deep chilling voice that sent shivers down her spine.
"Chronos keeps an eye on all those who use the magic of which he governs over".
Her eyes widened upon seeing what was happening around her and upon hearing what he said she finally understood why Chronos had sent her to find him.
"I'm assuming he contacted you already if you seemingly knew I was here the entire time and knew who I was?" She asked after taking a moment to compose herself once more.
He simply nodded, replying with a quick and short response.
"I am to be your guardian and companion throughout your life."
After which she nodded and started walking away, with him following her since it was obvious to him she had a place to stay for the moment where they could get to know each other a little better.
After a few minutes of walking they reached what looked like a nice house near the outskirts of the town, but he knew better this was a house made by Chronos that existed outside the realm of the human world it was created just so they could speak, without being heard, or bothered.
He looked up at the sky momentarily with an annoyed look on his face since he knew Chronos was looking down upon him and this young woman, laughing his ass off.
Shaking his head and facing forward again he walked in the house with the young woman.
After sitting in some nice chairs and getting comfortable the young woman started things off.
"Since we need to get to know each other I suppose the best way to do so is to say our names and age to start of with." She suggested before seeing him nod.
"I shall go first I guess, my name is Dimaria Yesta, and I'm 23 currently." the now named Dimaria said before looking to him.
"Naruto Uzumaki, 250." he said shortly, in that deep voice of his though admittedly far less chilling this time around.
Dimaria's eyes widened upon hearing his age, she remembered Chronos teaching her about those who have used his magic throughout the years and some of those who currently still do, she remembered how he spoke of a man who bore red hair and was a demon on the battlefield wielding his magic over 200 years ago, but he had also told her he had fallen off the map after the war in which he fought in was over, so he didn't know what had happened to him.
After getting over her shock she decided to ask some questions that she was curious about.
"So why do you wear that mask?" Dimaria asked genuinely curious.
He simply looked at her before shaking his head, something she understood meant he did not wish to speak of it, most likely a personal thing, to which she nodded in understanding.
"How are you still alive after over 200 years I know there are many ways to become immortal or at the least unable to die of old age, but most of those were lost to the world long before even Zeref was born."
"You mistake somethings about me I am not immortal nor immune from dying of old age I simply come from a family that is known for its long lasting life spans, on average my family members have all lived at minimum 2,000 years, I will likely be no different, how many years after 2,000 that I will live is not something I know though." Naruto replied quietly.
"Is there anyone else in your family that is alive still?" Dimaria asked curiously.
"My sister and a few cousins are still alive, my sister is also one of the people you will meet often as she is one of my informants." Naruto replied.
Dimaria looked at him questioningly.
"She keeps me up to date on things that are happening in the world, whether or not I have any enemies who are after my head and whether or not the magic council needs to be dealt with due to them performing displeasing activities." Naruto informed her.
Dimaria nodded her head, before another question popped into her head.
"What other magics do you use as Chronos told me of you when you fought in the war 200 years ago, he said you were a master of his magic and a few others." Dimaria asked inquisitively.
"At the time of the war I only knew how to wield 3 magics, Time magic as you said, was one of them, Dimensional magic was another, and a third in which I hope you never have to see me use." Naruto replied simply.
Dimaria looked at him confusedly about the last part of his answer but from his look it was obvious to her he wasn't going to say anything else about it.
"You said at the time does that mean you have learnt more since then?" Dimaria questioned.
Naruto nodded his head before bring out one of his hands in front of him and, seemingly in mid air, a portal opened up and dropped a Shakujo it was black in color with the top being golden with 12 golden rings on the head.
"This is an ancient Shakujo that is given to a member of my family who is considered the most powerful, its abilities vary from what the wielder needs of it, you will understand what I mean by that should you ever see me using it." Naruto explained.
Dimaria nodded her head though she was also letting her imagination wonder upon what its abilities might be.
"Why were you chosen to be my guardian and companion in life?" Dimaria asked as it was a question that had been bugging her ever since she set out to find him.
Naruto looked at her for a moment before responding.
"It is due to your heritage, you ancestors were that of the people of Mildian, your people were known to live almost as long as my own family, you are no exception you will like live for a couple thousand years like myself, knowing this Chronos chose me since he knows how much trouble a user of his magic can cause upon going crazy from the despair of living for as long as you will." Naruto replied.
Dimaria looked on confusedly, she knew her ancestors live extremely long lives and she would as well, but what he said about despair from living a extremely long life made her think Chronos, her own teacher, didn't trust her own mental strength.
Naruto must have caught onto what she was thinking and decided to nip it in the bud.
"Do no think the decision to have me be your companion in life is due to Chronos having no trust in your mental strength, the decision was made do to your heritage, the people of Mildian always needed a partner in their long lives because, they were affected by negative emotions much more when the despair of seeing friends and loved ones dying of old age around them while they lived on young and fresh set in." Naruto explained calming her down.
She understood and accepted what he was saying even if she didn't like it since it felt like a personal jab at her abilities.
Dimaria looked at him quizzically for a moment before she spoke up.
"Was there something Chronos wanted us to do while we are partners?" Dimaria asked.
Naruto looked annoyed at this, to which she immediately knew her teacher did give a request to do something and it was not something Naruto liked.
"Yes he has asked us to join a legal guild that is going to be at the forefront of the world and the events to come, meaning he wants me to come out of hiding." Naruto responded with an annoyed tone.
Dimaraia nodded her head in understanding of why he was annoyed, Chronos had told her he fell off the map after the war, so it must have meant he went into hiding, so to be told to come out of it, especially into the forefront of the world would obviously annoy him since he probably worked hard to stay out of the spotlight.
"Did he say which guild he wanted us to join." Dimaria asked.
Naruto nodded his head.
"He only gave the first part of the name saying it started with Fairy and it was in the second most populated city in Fiore besides the capital, which means Magnolia." Naruto responded.
Dimaria looked at him patiently waiting for an answer to her unasked question.
Naruto saw this look and sighed knowing he was going to have to answer her question.
"There is only one guild in Magnolia, and it starts with Fairy, it's known as Fairy Tail, its also the most destructive and hyperactive guild in Fiore." Naruto said.
Dimaria nodded her head knowing if she wanted to know more she would have to go there to find out.
"Well do you want to head out there now our wait a little bit?" Naruto asked her.
Dimaria thought for a little and decided it would be best to head there now, upon letting him know her decision he simply nodded his head and stood up.
They gathered their things and walked out the door, the moment the door was closed and locked it simply disappeared.
After which the two of them decided to get a move on, Hargeon wasn't to far from Magnolia so they would walk there.
After about 2 hours into their walk Naruto felt like he was being watched, he had been having a nagging feeling the moment they stepped out of Hargeon, he didn't like being followed.
So after about 10 more minutes of walking and still getting that feeling, he stopped looked over to where he felt the person who was following and watching them was.
When he looked over to the trees the person was hiding near he immediately frowned seeing the trees dying and withering away for seemingly no reason.
Knowing who was hiding in there he called out to the annoyance.
"You can stop with the petty hiding, come out and face me Zeref." Naruto spoke with a blank voice.
They both heard chuckling coming from the trees before a seemingly young man stepped out of the trees, smiling at them.
"Why am I not surprised you could sense me Naruto, it has been many years since we last spoke." Zeref spoke with his neutral voice.
"So it has been." Naruto spoke in his normal emotionless voice.
"Yes well this isn't a pleasant meeting I have simply come to take the student of Chronos off your hands, after all you don't need her like I do." Zeref spoke in a calm manor as if he was talking about the weather.
Dimaria looked annoyed that this fool thought she could just be passed around like an object, no matter how powerful he was nobody spoke about her in that manner, she was about to give him a piece of her mind but, before she could Naruto placed a hand on her shoulder giving her a shake of his head telling her no.
"I'm afraid that will not be happening Zeref, so why don't you leave and never bother us again or the rest of the world for that matter." Naruto spoke ignoring a pouting Dimaria behind him.
Zeref didn't look all that surprised at Naruto's response, though he didn't look all that happy either.
"You know it isn't a good idea to deny me things Naruto you remember what happened last time you did that, you remember what happened to your poor wife" Zeref said in a blank voice though if you listened closely you might have been able to hear a mocking edge to his tone.
"Such pathetic threats and insults, but what can I expect from the sad little man who couldn't accept the idea of death and became its very embodiment, weak minded fools such as yourself give in to the darkness so easily it's laughable." Naruto spoke with a mocking icy tone that sent chills down Dimaria's spine and annoyed Zeref.
Zeref looked extremely annoyed with Naruto hearing what he said, he always had the most uncanny ability to shrug off any threats or insults Zeref said to him and then return them twofold utterly annoying Zeref.
Zeref decided that since it looked like he wasn't going to get what he wanted since he couldn't take Dimaria from Naruto knowing how dangerous the man was, he decided it was time to cut his losses and leave the interaction with Naruto had annoyed once again.
"I see if that is how you want to play, then I will take my leave for now, this game has become quite boring." Zeref spoke trying to keep up the act of not caring about what Naruto said.
Naruto simply narrowed his eyes at Zeref with a look that simply said "leave" and so that is what he did walking back into the forest before disappearing completely.
Dimaria looked at him bug-eyed, not understanding how such a man could be so calm when faced with the single deadliest human to ever exist in the pass millennium.
Naruto noticing her look out of the corner of his eyes spoke.
"When you get to be as old as I am, and experience all that I have you tend to not really hold fear for much that comes before you." Naruto answered her unasked question.
She looked at him weirdly, before remembering something that was said by Zeref.
"Zeref said something about your wife, who was she if you don't mind me asking." Dimaria asked.
Naruto looked up at the sky as they kept walking, before sighing and finally speaking.
"Her name was Karui, she was a beautiful girl, dark skin, red hair, beautiful golden eyes, she had a fiery temper that even I was afraid of at times, hehe, but she was my world when she was alive, she even gave me the privilege of being a father." Naruto answered.
Dimaria was a bit surprised with the knowledge that he was a father.
"No I do not know what happened to my daughter, when she was 18 I let her leave where I hid myself and raised her, so as to allow he to explore the world for herself and enjoy her life, I simply told her to not tell people of me or where I lived and to try and keep in contact through my sister." Naruto answered her unasked question.
Dimaria looked distinctly annoyed that he could tell what she was thinking just by looking at her.
"What did your daughter look like and what was her name?" Dimaria asked curiously.
Naruto smiled thinking about his little girl.
"Her name was Yoruichi, she was a beautiful girl just like her mother, dark skin that she got from her mother, blue eyes that she got from me, and red hair that she got from her mother, though she permanently changed it to purple later on down the road since she had an affinity to the color like her mother did." Naruto said smiling the whole time.
After that they just kept silent enjoying the weather and nature as they walked to their destination, after about another couple hours they reached the city known as magnolia.
Walking through the gates entering the town they could see just how massive it was, a multitude of streets with house surrounded the places with shops and peddlers lining each one it seemed, and in the middle of the town was a extremely large cathedral.
"So this is Magnolia town huh." Dimaria said in wonderment of how large it was.
Naruto simply nodded his head, they had agreed that he wouldn't speak unless it was just them in private.
They continued walking through the town for a bit before deciding to stop for something to eat.
They entered a ramen shop since it was close by, upon sitting down at the bar the barkeep walked up to them and asked them what they would like, after ordering their food they sat there waiting patiently while also studying the people around them.
A few people stuck out to them, one was a girl with long red hair, porcelain white skin, and weirdly a set of Heart Kreuz armor, she seemed enamored with a plate of what looked to be strawberry cheesecake.
An extremely tall young man with white hair large bulging muscles.
A short girl with white hair who was sitting next to the large boy, possibly siblings she seemed to be laughing at something the large boy said.
Another short girl who was a bit taller than the other girl with white hair, she was wearing what Naruto and Dimaria could only construe as a goth outfit, she was also smiling at the large boy, yep definitely siblings.
Finally a young man who seemed to have a problem with stripping since it looked like he was unconsciously stripping out of his clothes, probably a student of Ur Milkovich Naruto assumed.
A few minutes into their studying they received their food and quickly ate it enjoying its taste, upon finishing they paid for their food and asked the barkeep if he knew where the Fairy Tail guild was located, upon receiving its location they thanked the man and headed out of the bar.
Walking through the town now that they knew where to go was a lot quicker, they reached their destination pretty quickly.
Staring up at the building, they both simply sighed since this was going to be a new direction in their life, one was hesitant having never been apart of a guild before, the other annoyed since this is the place he had to come out of hiding to join.
Walking up to the doors they pushed them open and immediately noticed that the guild seemed to be and a large brawl with everyone smiling while beat the shit out of each other.
They made their way through the chaos to a short man sitting at the bar drinking from a mug, Naruto could sense the amount of magic coming off of him and immediately knew that this was the master of the guild.
Upon reaching the small man, he looked up at them and smiled.
"Hello there how may I help you, are you here to put in a request?" the small man asked.
Naruto shook his head and stepped back a bit to let Dimaria do the talking.
"No we actually came here to join the guild." Dimaria replied shortly to the small man.
The small man nodded and hopped over the bar and grabbed a long stick with what looked to be a stamp on the end of it.
"Alright then where do you want the marker and in what color?" the small man asked.
Dimaria looked a little bit shocked.
"Wait there's no test or anything to join and by the way would you happen to be the guild master?" Dimaria asked.
"Nope no test anyone is allowed to join Fairy Tail as long as they can use magic, and yes I am the guild master the name is Makarov Dreyar, nice to meet you." the now named Makarov answered.
Dimaria nodded her head and simply said she wanted her marker in red on her shoulder.
After giving Dimaria her marker he looked to Naruto, well looked up him since he was so tall.
He simply looked at Makarov's orange coat and stretched his neck, confusing Makarov, though Dimaria understood what he was saying.
"He wants his in orange on his neck, I apologies but he doesn't like talking much." Dimaria told Makarov who nodded and immediately gave Naruto his marker though he had to jump up to his shoulder to apply it.
Once that was done he sat back at the bar and decided to learn a little bit about his two new guild members.
"So tell me young ones whats your names?" Makarov asked.
"My name is Dimaria Yesta, his is Naruto Uzumaki." Dimaria responded.
Makarov nodded his head before asking his next questions.
"So can I ask what magic you use and maybe how old you are?" Makarov asked.
"I use a variant of time magic known as age seal." Dimaria responded, as she was about to state Naruto's magics that she knew of he cut her off.
"I also use a variant of time magic, known to most as Gods Time, as well as Dimensional Magic and a few others." Naruto stated shortly.
Dimaria nodded her head before answering the second question.
"As to my age I am 23 currently." Dimaria said before looking at Naruto to see if he was going to answer for himself, he simply shook his head at her, to which she nodded.
"I apologies but he doesn't wish to speak of his age." Dimaria apologised.
Makarov simply laughed "It's fine young one, some people just don't like being reminded of how old they are no matter their age, though I'm surprised that your friend knows how to use the ancient magic Gods Time it was thought to be lost to the ages a long time ago." Makarov said looking curiously over at Naruto.
Naruto simply stared back at the man in stony silence creeping Makarov out.
"Im surprised that you know of my magic Makarov-san, most people who actually know of it live outside of Ishgar, mainly because I specifically remember destroying all knowledge accessible in Ishgar about my magic, many years ago." Naruto spoke while looking curiously at Makarov.
Makarov looked a little shocked at this, though he composed himself before responding. "I only know of it do to my experience, plus being a member of the 10 wizard saints does have its advantages when it comes to getting information on things that intrigue you." Makarov said.
Naruto simply nodded his head.
Authors Note:
So I 100% did not mean for this to take so long for me to update or put up a new story, I apologize for that but real life got in the way and I happened to get in a routine of forgetting about writing either due to writers block or just just forgetting to actual sit down and write since I was extremely busy, hopefully it doesn't take me like a year or 2 to update a story like it did this time, can't promise anything crazy though.
As to those who are wondering about my other stories, The New Era of Magic is up for adoption the reason is in the summary, The legend of Team 10 is in the middle of a rewrite, the first chapter of that is in the process of editing, The Protectors is in the same process im just editing chapter 2, I also have a few other stories that I am in the middle of writing chapters for, a My hero academia/ Destiny 2 story, a Naruto/Pokemon story, and a Naruto/One Piece story. All of those are either in the editing process or im still writing the chapters.
Also from now on when I update I will be updating all my stories at once, so when I upload the new stories they will be uploaded at the same time that I update, my other already existing stories, just so it gives you more to read.
Again I apologize for not uploading/updating sooner.
