Earth - the most guarded secret we have. The location was only known by the senior commanders of the fleet, and we dared not share it with the public. Not while there was a Cylon threat upon us. For now we have a refuge to go to. A refuge that the Cylons know nothing about! It won't be an easy journey. It will be long and arduous. But I promise you one thing. On the memory of those lying here before you, we shall find it. And Earth will become our new home.
That was all Laura Roslin could think about when she sat in the raptor, waiting for William Adama to show her this wonderful world. And Earth will become our new home. A home that she would not be able to see, a cabin that would never be built. She had said her final goodbyes to Starbuck and Apollo, putting her hand against the cold glass, a soft smile on her face. Here she was, on the most guarded secret, a place she thought didn't exist, a place that would only be in their thoughts and hopes. Earth, the place where everything and everyone would start anew, where new life and the promise of further existence would be. But she wouldn't see it, she knew this, and so did Adama. She wouldn't be able to see the one thing she fought so hard for, Earth.
"So much..life" She breathed out, barley, and not a moment later her hand would fall. Yes, this great planet, this beautiful planet would see life in future days. But right now, at that moment, life was taken being taken away.
