Finn sprinted through the forest, panic biting at his heels. He was being hunted; his assailant would not stop until he had been caught.

The sun had set an hour ago and the growing darkness enveloped the forest in an eerie hue. Shadows lurked everywhere and it was getting harder for him to see. But if he stopped or slowed down, it would be the end.

Finn continued running. He had to escape.

A noise nearby caused him to freeze. He listened intently. The rustling was close. He had to hide.

Finn darted behind a tree. For all the good it would do, he hoped it would get him out of sight, even momentarily. He sank to the ground and covered his head, holding his breath.

A tall, lithe figure appeared out of the darkness. The figure surveyed the area, crouching to examine the ground. It stood and moved off, away from Finn's hiding spot.

He breathed a small sigh of relief. But he knew he could not remain here. He moved on.

The darkness grew thicker. It was difficult to see very far and so he slowed to a walk. This also helped him hear more. The sounds of the forest surrounded him, and he felt almost content.

He stopped to rest under a large tree. Its branches spread out overhead and blocked out the sky.

Suddenly, a rustling from overhead caught his attention. He looked up into the tree to see the figure looming over him on a low branch. Finn screamed as the figure jumped.

He was tackled to the ground by the figure. His eyes shut as his head smacked into the dirt. His assailant pinned him to the ground, straddling his waist and holding his arms down. This was the end.

"You're dead," his assailant said, her soft voice spilling over him. The tone was far from hostile however, more playful.

Finn opened his eyes and looked up. Huntress Wizard's face smiled down at him.

"Haha," he chuckled. "Yeah, you got me."

Huntress Wizard rolled off him and stood, extending a hand to help him up. Finn accepted and she hauled him upright. They stood for a moment, their faces mere inches apart, before Huntress Wizard closed the gap. Their kiss was tender but passionate.

They finally pulled away. Both were blushing furiously.

"That was fun, Finn," Huntress Wizard said. "Let's do it again tomorrow."

"Sure thing, HW."

The two headed off into the darkness, hands clasped together.
