Whoa! What's this story going to? A princess tale?

Well I'd hope so. It's about… princes...

And so what? Is this a fairy tale?

No; But.. Will you let me do a ba-

This is about a CAT and a RAT, right?

Well… Yes.

Well then write it properly!

But the rat and cat are royalty pets.

Ah.

.

.

Carry on then.

Anyways.

Being as to there was a ball going on in a below portion, hosted because the twin princes of the land's thirteenth birthdays befell the wide vast of the land.

One of the princes looked rather dark, this was Prince Kasame, he owned the cat. The other prince was Prince Yoru, who looked bright all the time, owned the rat

With this covered, may I now present to you the…

Missing Link

Neko, the black cat that Prince Kasame owns, impatiently moves back and forth across the pet room that he has to share with the dreadful chattery rat.

"Y'know, my pops always said that pacin' was bad for ya health. Or was it bad for others?" The rat happily chimed after ending a god-awful long story.

"Nila, will you just shut up for five minutes?" Neko growled, too bad he was a royal cat or he would've eaten Nila already. Being as both of them were basically guardians, assigned to the princes a shape, or form of an animal. All of the royalty has this, any animals, but in all, children come rarely in royalty at the time.

The orchrestra resigns for the night, but, the crowd stays. Soon enough they descend.

Before the crowd leaves -

Neko huffs, Nila continues to one of her stories, one she's told plenty of times. Now, normally a cat would know there's a ditch full of water below the castle window, however, this cat can't, so he would jump through the window easily. So that's exactly what he did.

"…Nek-" the piercing screech of horror stopped the rat from talking to herself.

The drenched cat was on the grass by now, looking mutilated. He grumbles as he looks back up to the other animal. The rat huffed and wisely went down a trail in the outer wall then swam across.

"Took you long enough." Neko snapped, the rat recoiled, snorting.

"You do this every year, you should know what's out here. Like the mote." Nila prods gently at Neko's collar.

"Yeah. But I would just walk out. However, I can't bask in the moonlight in that room." Neko snorted back, the collar clicking. They suddenly turned into humans. Neko had black hair with red eyes, he wore tattered-looking clothes. Nila had long silver hair and blue eyes, she wore a well-kepy short dress.

"Y'know, you look weird~" Nila snickered, her arm wrapped around Neko's neck. Neko looked bothered and wet, which he was.

"You look even more weird, hanging off of me like that." He slouched slightly, the weight not used to him. He then starts walking off, apparently carrying Nila along.

"Will you get off me?" Neko snorted at Nila.

"Aha~ No~ Carry your elder with grace!~" She happily announced, she was three years older than Neko and two years older than the twins.

This went on until they got lost.
