Having watched iCarly I noticed that Sam always wants to stay over in Carly's house so I let my mind wonder and came up with this.

"What the hell kind of grades are these?" Ms Puckett bellowed upon Sam entering the front door. Oh no she thought dreading this the whole day during school, report cards.
"Four D's four fucking D's are you fucking retarded" she snarled while cornering Sam into the wall.
Times likes this she really hated her mum. Ever since she found out that dad was cheating on her she was like a completely changed women who spent her days drowning her sorrows in whatever form of alcohol she could find. And since her older sister Haylie, the model pupil and child left for college, her mother found any opportunity to harass her youngest daughter.
"Um" Sam stuttered trying not to let emotions get the better of her. "I tried mom I did but it just that am struggling with some subjects". The bitter laugh of her mother seemed to echo through the whole room. "Don't give me that shit, Haylie's a straight A student and you're just a pathetic excuse for a human being, just like your father.
"Mom please" tears beginning to form in her eyes," I'll try harder I promise" the fear of her mother evident in her voice.
Her only response was pulling Sam roughly by the arm towards the door. "Mom stop, your hurting me" Sam uttered attempting to break free from her mothers grasp.
Slapping Sam hard across the face she bellowed "Get the fuck out of here" pushing her out the door and slamming it in her face.
Making sure no one else was in the hall of the apartment block she leaned against the door and cried holding her swollen cheek against her hand. She hated being the sensitive and vulnerable girl who cried. That's why she told no one about her home life and when it got bad, times like this she found solace in Carly's apartment. Playing the character she knew so well the confident and aggressive one, the one she only wished could actually be herself.
After regaining her composure she began her route to the apartment block. But when she reached that familiar third floor she found herself not going to the right hand side door like always, put knocking on the apartment to the left.
A shocked looking Freddie emerged at the door. "Um hi..You lost cause Carly's apartment across the hall".
"Whatever dork" she replied barging her way past Freddie and plonking herself on the living room settee and turning on the television to a wrestling show.
Apprehensively Freddie sat on the opposite end of the settee watching her. Well this was certainly odd he thought. Sam never came to his apartment unaccompanied by Carly, unless she wanted something and with her straight to the point attitude that seemed unlikely. She must really be absorbed in the television because she hasn't even noticed that am looking at her. Studying her features he noticed her left cheek was considerably swollen and her arm was forming into a slightly black and blue color and her eyes even though they were engrossed in the television the smudged black eyeliner and the puffy red exterior were apparent .Something was definitely wrong.
The touch of a hand on her knee was enough to snap Sam out of her thoughts. "Is everything okay?"
Glaring up at him she was about to respond with some sarcastic comment but with his caring and sensitive expression something inside her changed. She sobbed pain ridden tears. "No its not" while Freddie just held her close.
