Chapter 1
The Kiss of War
Back in the days of Kings and Kingdoms, there was a fair lady named Greenlee Smyth, Princess of The Valley of the Pines. She was pledge to marry the Son of the Count of Rivers, whose name was George.
But she wanted to marry for Love, but she was forced to marry cause of War. Only if Princess Greenlee married George, the Count's son would his father lend his troops to the King. If she didn't he would declare war and take over the Kingdom. Either way George would be King someday.
One day Greenlee was wondering the Royal Barn, when she met a Stable Boy who everyone called Leo. No one knew who is Father was so they all treated him like a Bastard.
"Hello," Greenlee said.
Leo bowed his head and said, "Please don't speak to me Princess, I'm not worthy."
Greenlee got mad and said, "A Mere Stable Boy can not tell me who I may and May Not talk to. I demand you look at me right now."
Leo looked the Princess in her eyes and was mesmerized by them. Likewise, his eyes mesmerized her.
Leo said, "Princess, if I may say. Your true beauty can't match what I've heard about you."
Princess Greenlee blushed and said, "You may say. So do you have special someone in your life?"
Leo said, "I do have someone, but I wouldn't call her special. My Fiancée, whose name is Laura. Now don't get me wrong, she is a great friend, but she is crazy. She gets jealous when I talk to female animals."
Greenlee said, "Man that is too bad, I…"
Just then Leo leaned over to kiss her, and she kissed back, however Laura witnessed the kiss. She walked back to the house and wrote a letter to the Count of Rivers.
