Stephanie King gripped the fishing line attached to her 'ghost' tightly as she guided it back and forth across the lobby. She was making another no-budget horror film and had already set up the cameras and special lights. The only thing she didn't count on was someone else coming instead of the Palm Woods' manager Mr. Bitters.

As the 'ghost' flitted through the lobby, she saw a shadowed figure enter the lobby from the elevator area. Assuming it was Bitters, she turned on her noise-making machine and fan. This was going to be great. It all went well until she realized that the figure was not Bitters.

The figure dropped he flashlight they were carrying and she quickly stepped into sight, not wanting to scare them even more. Suddenly, the figure screamed,

"GHOST!" and ran right into her, causing her to lose her grip on the fishing line. Her 'ghost' tumbled down onto the two of them as she lost her balance and fell to the ground. As she reached out to try and stop herself, her hand hit something that felt like a helmet before she landed with a quiet thud. The 'ghost' landed lightly on top of the two.

As Stephanie's vision adjusted to the sudden darkness beneath the 'ghost', she got her first look at the figure who was not Mr. Bitters.

"Carlos?" she asked incredulously, not believing that it was Carlos Garcia, the cute, funny teen from Big Time Rush who lived in apartment 2J. He had no clue who she was, though, since they'd never met.

"Yes?" Carlos asked. "Hey, aren't you the new girl? The one who wants to be a horror film director?" She nodded. "I thought I recognized those brown eyes. I'm Carlos Garcia."

Stephanie's heart fluttered. He recognized her eyes!

"I'm Stephanie King. Sorry about this whole this thing. I'm making a no-budget horror film. What are you doing down here so late? I was expecting Bitters," Stephanie, trying to hide the nervousness in her voice.

"Nice to meet you. Bitters is asleep in his office, I think. I came down to find a snack in the vending machine since James ate almost all our snacks before bed. But," Carlos stopped mysteriously.

"But what?" Stephanie asked.

"I'd much rather take a midnight stroll with the new girl Stephanie King," Carlos said nervously.

"I'd like that," Stephanie said as they moved out from under the 'ghost' and walked arm in arm out the door of the hotel.

A/N: Hope you guys liked! Thanks.
