Tears glistening on a pale cheek, a girl meets her match; herself. Coming out wasn't as bad as she had thought, but she wasn't quite prepared for the reactions. Sometimes things are better left unsaid. Too bad it's too late.

'Fallen From Grace'

"I'm sorry, I can't do this," the blonde cries in the face of her enemy.

He lay there defenseless on the ground, his eyes pleading and his lips trembling. How could she kill this man? This was a hard time, and they couldn't let anyone get away or keep any prisoners; she had no choice. The girl's face hardens in self control - pretending that she hadn't just blurted her fears out loud.

With a quick swish, it was all over. No more fear, no more begging, no more mercy. Every person rises to his or her level of incompetence, Ino's found hers. And she's no way of getting back down.

"I'm not sure if I can cope with this any longer, Ino." A brunette tells her daughter, both throats constricting in anxiety and pain unhidden. "It's all getting so hard. The whole village -- your father--I can't do this any more. Ino, I love you, but with between your father, your brother, and me, it's getting hard on all of us. You have to go, perhaps you can find people, more-- like you."

"M-mom…? Why? You're my mother! You can't do this! MOM!" Ino screams fruitlessly at the receding form of her mother, the tears falling at record speeds.

'First my friends, then the village, then my teammates, and now my own family. How is this happening to me…? What did I do to deserve this?!'

All those around her could see her falling from grace, her blonde hair streaming behind her as she tried to go down with as much dignity as her broken self could muster. But all of it in vain; no one was looking.

No matter what she did, they would hate her. At first she was the perfect, blonde, beautiful, smart, funny, popular, strong little girl. Maybe not the hokage's apprentice, but she made it far, she gave everything her all. She was loved. Oh how things change…

'Fallen From Grace'

One glance at the pink-haired prodigy and shivers of excitement and fear overtook Ino. Her one and only love. Things turned out strangely.

Ino turned out lesbian, Sakura a homophobe, a weak family that couldn't take even a few blows for their only daughter, devoted teammates not as devoted as you would think.

Ino could barely breathe for confusion and sorrow. All of these scenes in her life playing over and over in her head one after the other, emotions rolling through them. Weaving their way through each fibre and tendril. Nothing ever turned out as you would expect; friends were never as perfect as you would think; true love not easy, pain not 2D; truth not the simplest option; and even an optimist can lose faith in society. Even Ino could fall so far that she could never be found again.

'Fallen From Grace'

A quick sip of water with some pills and my body convulsing in pain. 'Shit,' it took affect so much quicker than expected. I let it wash over me and a blissful emptiness filled my mind as memories and emotions flooded back in such quick succession I didn't have to endure them all over again. I'm finally finished here.
