Livin' the good life
Prologue
He was livin' the good life. He and his wife would be celebrating their twentieth wedding anniversary and twenty-fifth anniversary of being together as a couple later this year. They had four children – Lizzy (18), Stacy (17), Nate (15) and Emily (13). They lived in a wonderful town in the house of their dreams and had jobs they both loved and enjoyed.
Once they got married and started their family, they decided for their privacy and sanity to stay out of spotlight on a day to day basis. He was now a very successful director, but limited his projects to spend time with family. She had taken to producing music (for people and movies) and when they worked together on a project, everyone took notice.
They had even managed to stay close with most of their friends from their three films together. Everyone had made it a point to get together at least twice a year for at least a week to catch up. They each took turns picking the reunion-vacation destinations and there hadn't been a dull one yet.
This year was their turn. It wasn't proving as easy to plan as he had hoped. On top of living with four teenagers, three of those being girls, who he just didn't get, he was trying to figure out how to surprise his wife for their anniversary. This year his sanity and patience were definitely going to be tested. He was up for it, he was just going to have to 'keep his head in the game.'
