A/N: After working excessively to help A Rewritten Squirrel with CTIB, I haven't had any chance to post anything, much less type up entire chapters. So, I'm actually going to post a poem. In three or four years on FFN, I've never posted a poem. This was originally written by hand in Borders. Here goes.
Title: Contradicting Clarity
Rating: K+
Genre: Romance/Angst
Summary: How can something so painful be so beautiful? How can nothing make sense and still come together like a jigsaw puzzle? (Dib POV)
Antipodes come similar
Opposing all reality
An enemy's love
A love's enmity
Wanting so badly
Not to want this affection
Only strengthens it
Tuning down your volume
Reduces the others to a murmur
Your voice echoing over theirs
Trying to get other's notice
Only pushes them away
Confining me in a world
Of kisses and whispered hatred
Of fights and gentle caresses
When the colours fade
Yours become more vibrant
When eyes lose their gleam
Yours grow brighter
Insomnia fixes the night on you
In sleep you haunt my dreams
Sanity makes me obsess for you
Insanity leaves me whimpering in your arms
From you I find my
will
inspiration
purpose
pain
And I can't let you go
I can't define my love
Insanity abandoned for you
my love
my hate
my captor
my savior
mr loss
my gain
my smiles
my screams
my poison
my antidote
Make me a contradiction
