Anthi35: As you have left reviews twice here, I will answer them in the assumption that you shall someday read this again. If not, this is a general notice to all then. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this - I am honoured that you enjoyed this. As for why I take no credit, I do not like it. Poetry is simple - thinking up the ideas are much harder. (Not to mention, I don't like credit, so if I may pass it off...) merci beaucoup!

What is the colour of life in the city;
What shade is the banner that signals the king?
What light is the herald for Camelot's soul;
What is the colour of which people sing?

The gold of the crown glints bright in the day;
Perfection is ruling from dias and throne,
Ensuring the fires will never go out -
Shining in the flames of Camelot's own.

The tales of the knights spread out far and wide;
Their will and their honour is the king's to command.
They're garbed in the blood of the innocents shed;
The guileless children cut down by their hand.

The castle is gleaming without spot nor stain,
It's white purity as if grown from a dream.
Carved from the bones of the millions slaughtered;
The silver trumpets drown out children's screams.

Silence surrounds the king and his people;
Ashes are filling the blood-stained, white roads.
Sorrow is drowning all light from the world -
Grey and black burden everyone's loads.

Gold is the colour of life in the city;
Red is the banner that signals the king.
White is the herald for Camelot's soul -
But grey is the colour of which people sing.

AN: Literally nothing of this is mine. Inspired by the third chapter of Purema's story The Games. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! Gramercy, and God bless you!
