So...does it hold up so far? Lets find out.
Summary: The show takes place a couple of years after the events of Predacon Rising and follows Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideways, Fixit and Grimlock on Earth as they have to recapture the escaped Decepticons and protect the planet from disaster.
A very simple plot, but works for the show and so far i find it just above adverage.
Good
*The comedy in the show is fucking amazing and has had me in stitches every episode. The best episode for the comedy is episode 11: Adventures in Bumblebee Sitting, the name just speaks for itself. If haven't watched it yet...go watch!
*The Autobots and the humans have been very good so far and are getting the correct character development they need. so thumbs up!
*The animation for the show is excellent and fast paced too. Its different from the previous show, but it needs to in order to suit the tone. So props to Hasbro on this one.
Bad
*The whole thing with Optimus Prime so far is going no where. Please Hasbro don't fuck this up. I hope that this will be an interesting sub plot.
*The decepticons (other than Steeljaw)) aren't that interesting compared to the previous cons. (But they have great designs)
*The story is kinda repetitive, with each episode having the Autobots try to capture a decepticon, but with a different problem and humour.
*As a sequel to Transformers Prime, it doesn't really reference it much in the first 13 episodes, fingers cross old characters will return.
In conclusion TF RID 2015 is definetly not bad, but not great either like its predecessor. Its in the middle for me and i hope that it keeps to its strengths and improves on its weaknesses and become the sequel to Prime that it needs to be and a great show too.
Just my thoughts on the show so far and i'll make an actual review when the show finishes.
Leave a review before you go, guys and gals!
