the girls were laughing and giggling. It was about three am and they were supposed to be asleep hours ago. Ino sighed " man,i miss middle school"she said turning to her side to face her best friend and sakura did the same turning herself on the pull out couch. " Do you know what I miss the most?" "humm?" ino questioned with curious eyes. Sakura let out a soft sigh and lifted her hand reaching out to hold Ino's cheek. "Us" Ino's heart skipped a beat and she froze for a moment then slightly shook her head. "Sakura,don't" she said flipping to her other side " right, sorry" she whispered as she swung her legs onto the floor. Just as sakura stood up and started walking out she felt a hand on her arm "sakura wait". Ino stood up in front of sakura, sakura's eyes glowered her chin was up but her eyes where glued to the floor under them. " Sakura, look at me" ino said placing her hand under sakura's chin her eyes finally met ino's. Ino saw sakura starting to lean in, but ino froze not knowing what was coming next. What did happen next surprised her, sakura laied her forehead against " I love- I miss us" sakura said holding ino's face in her hands again. Ino shut her eyes knowing that she wouldn't be able to hold back tears if she continued to hold sakura's gaze. " No" she breathed out " i-i can't do this again sakura" ino's voice on the verge of breaking. " I don't love you, I don't" sakura felt a tear slip down ino's face and brushed it off with the palm of her thumb. " Sakura you broke my heart before, I can't, I can't I don't love you, I don't miss us we are better off friends". Ino said in between quiet sobs. Sakura once again started rubbing ino's cheek with the palm of her thumb, there foreheads still pressed together. "Ino who are you trying to convince me or you?" ino shook her head " I- i- don't know I don't want to love you anymore sakura, but I can't just stop I've never just stopped loving you sakura". She dropped her head and burried it into sakura's shoulder and started to bawl. Sakura slipped her hands around ino's waist " I swear, I'll never let you go, ino I need you" she whispered into the sobbing blonds ear.
