A/N: A short, sweet, fluffy oneshot I wrote for the heck of it. Enjoy. ) My first fanfic, so bear with me.
Flying. It's very fun. Good for the soul. The Flock and I were staying in a large, spacious cave with several rooms. One of them was shared by Iggy and Nudge. One by Angel and Gazzy. And, of course, Fang and I shared a "room". We also had a meeting area in the center of the connected caves.
But, anyway, back to the point. I was out, by myself, flying. Just trying to release the built-up tension that you get when you have a stupid Voice in your head, are constantly fighting Erasers, and aren't sure if you're in love with your best friend or not. It's these kinds of things that make you very self-conscious and insecure. When I felt a presence behind me, I sighed. "Hi, Fang."
"Hello. You don't sound very glad to see me…should I leave?"
"No," I responded, a little too quickly. "Stay."
"Jeez, I though I was the one that replied with two-word answers."
"Quit it with the sarcasm, Fang. I'm not in the mood."
"Okay! Jeesh!" Fang had seemed a little…odd lately. I wonder…
"Are you gay?"
"WHAT?!?!?!" He screamed incredulously. "No! How could you think that?!?!"
"I don't know…you've been acting…weird lately."
He sighed.
"So…why were you being so strange?" I asked hesitantly. I didn't want to make him even more upset.
"Because…" He stopped, obviously wondering if he should continue. "Because," He apparently decided to continue. "I love you."
"Whoa! What the—" Yeah, I know. Such a graceful response. Well, can you blame me? It was surprising!
"I—I'm sorry, I—"
"D—don't be," I hoped I sounded more confident than I felt. "I love you, too, Fang."
"R—r—really?" He stuttered, shocked at my response.
I smiled sheepishly. "Yeah…I love you, too." It felt good to finally let it out.
He grinned. And, suddenly, he stopped flying and fell into a tree, tucking his wings in so as not to catch himself.
I gasped. "Fang!"
"Relax, I'm okay. Come here."
I followed him to the tree. "What is it?"
All of a sudden, he leaned over and kissed me. Whoa. It felt so good. Really. We spent a while in the tree, doing you-don't-want-to-know what (wink), until we finally decided that we should get back to the others.
After an experience like that, I don't feel so insecure any more.
A/N: There. Short and sweet. Please review! Hope you liked it.
