Harry potter sit in his study that was in his home. The aroma from his wife Ginny cooking dinner filled the house. Hermione and Ron sat up stairs in the kitchen with her as Harry had excused himself for a little while. He needed time for today was the two year anniversary of the great battle, the two year anniversary of Severus Snape's death. He felt so incomplete as to he never knew what happened to Severus. Sure he knew he died but there was something deeper than that. He needed the approval of knowing he was friends again with his mother but he still had no idea.

send some kind of sign Harry mumbled for the millionth time since the war had ended. He knew it did no good. Just then, out of the corner of his eye, he thought he saw something in his pensive flash . I curiously got up and walked over to the glowing pensive. In his pensive were various memories he wanted to hold on to. From his not so great childhood to his wedding day. He did put the memories Snape gave him in their as well. Those he refused to let go of no matter what. But he saw a memory floating around that he hadn't scene before.

Before he knew it he was falling into the memory. It didn't look like the other memories Snape had given him. This one was much more clear and it seemed like it had just recently happened witch Harry knew to be impossible, or thought anyway.

There was a small green patch of grass with a few benches and trees. Everything seemed pretty light. There were only a few people in the green he recognized. One would be Fred Weasely who was showing a girl a box that contained something from under a tree. He also recognized Lupin and Tonks who were sitting on a bench talking while two other people caught his eye. There standing before him was his Father James and his godfather Serious bickering about something. He wanted to talk to his father but he knew that he could not and that he had to find what he was here for. He wandered around the green weaving in and out of trees until he saw what he was here for.

Under a tree looking in a book that had a leather binding was the two people that he was so unsure about in the last two years. There sitting under the tree was his mother, Lily Evens and the man who he once hated, Severus Snape. They sat their looking generally happy. This was also the first time that he had scene Severus Snape happy in his entire life. He sat their and watched them looking threw this book discussing something he could not hear. What Harry had noticed when they got up though is that they were holding hands. Now to some children seeing your mother with your potions teacher would revolt you beyond belief; but for Harry it was a different story.

Harry came back out of the pensive and walked back upstairs with a large smile plastered across his face. That was the only sign he had needed.
