YAY! My first Fullmetal Alchemist ficcy! R&R!
Also, this is not the same Sara as my 'Reverse of Arcadia' ficcy(duh!).
Disclaimer: I own Ed in my dreams, but not in reality... T-T But I do own Sara :)Prologue:
Good-byes in a Rain Storm
A girl around 13 years old with chestnut brown hair and golden yellow eyes tip-toed quietly to the door of the large house. When she got to it, she openned it slowly as the rain outside fell harder. Suddenly, the hall was flooded with light. The girl froze.
"Sara, where are you going?" a small old woman asked when she saw the girl. Quickly, the girl turned around shutting the door.
"Granny, shouldn't you be helping Winry with Ed's automail surgery?" the girl asked in a rush, some what embarressed she got caught.
"Winry can handle herself for the moment. Now, what are you doing?" the woman demanded.
The girl let out a soft sigh. "I've been think about what that state alchemist said..." she amitted. "And I've decided... that I'm going to become a state alchemist."
"I thought so..." the woman sighed. "First your brother, and know you..."
"Well, I can't let my little brother do all the work, right." Sara laughed.
"Then, tell me the real reason you want to join." the woman demanded.
Sara looked away from the woman and down at the ground. " I-I didn't do anything... Not a thing..." the girl whimpered fighting back tears. The painful cries of her brother in the next room made it worse.
"What do you mean by that?"
"When, Ed and Al tried to bring mom back... I just stood there...!" the girl sobbed. "I was too scared to help... I'm their older sister I'm supposed to protect them! Now, Al doesn't have a body, Ed's missing an arm and leg! And I don't have a scratch on me, because I didn't do anything... I stood there and watched, that's it!" she wiped away tears from her eyes. "I knew alchemy I could have helped, then maybe this wouldn't have happened!"
"Or, it could have been worse!" the woman snapped making Sara wince. "What would Ed and Al do if something happened to you! You're their support, they look up to you! What would they do if you were gone!"
"They would keep moving!" Sara snapped back. "It may have not seemed like it but we've been moving this entire time. 'Forgetting the past, so the future isn't affected' that's what we've been doing. They would learn to stand on their own, and they would keep moving..." the girled sighed. "At least... that's what I hope they would do."
There was a long silence before the old woman spoke again. "So, you're going to leave just like that? When, your brother's need you the most?"
"Yeah... Now, would be the best time too, neither can try to stop me."
"Fine." the woman said turning away from Sara. "I figure out something to tell the boys... And you can leave..." she looked back at Sara. "Are you sure you want to go... once you do it will be hard for you to come back without getting yelled at."
"I know and that's what I plan on... I won't come back until I've found a way to get their bodies back to normal." Sara said with a determined smile, then turned around and openned the door. "Good-bye Granny, and thanks for everything."
"Just make sure to call." Pinako called back to Sara.
"...Right." Sara smirked and shut the door behind her.
