After the trio talked to Dumbledore they walked back down the stairs. Ditching the holes and jumping over marble along the way. Ron and Hermione walked hand in hand in front of Harry. As they neared the Great Hall Ron and Hermione walked inside while Harry debated himself. His heart told him to go to Ginny and hold her. Oh how he wanted to hold her! But his mind told him told him she needed to mourn with her family. His mind won. He traveled outside and sat on the steps. He looked over the Hogwarts Grounds, or what was left of it. He put his head in his hands and heaved a big sigh. He got lost in his thoughts until he smelt the sweet flowery smell that could only belong to one person. That one person was Ginny.

He stood up. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her cheeks stained with tears. "Ginny" he took a step toward her, and opened his arms. She rushed right into them. He looked into her eyes, he saw pain and sorrow, but underneath it all he saw passion and love. He bent down and their lips met in a kiss. It was a quick but slow and gentle one that had only begun to fill what they had missed. When they broke apart they stood in an embrace. He felt water on his shirt and looked down to find her silently crying. He lifted her face and wiped her tears away with his thumbs. She smiled but it quavered.

"Oh, Harry, don't ever leave me!" He smiled a smile that can only be brought by Ginny. "That is one thing I plan on not doing". He kissed the top of her head. "Gin, I've missed you!" She put her hands behind his neck. "And I you." She paused "I love you Harry." The monster in his chest that appeared when they first kissed was growing. He picked her up and spun her around. Once she was gently placed on the ground he bent don and whispered in her ear "I love you Ginny." Oh, how good it felt to say that, knowing I was very true! She hugged him tighter.

After several minutes she let go. Harry grabbed her hand and together they walked onto the grounds. When they got to the lake Ginny spoke "Why Harry?" He looked at her confused. "Why what?" she took a deep breath. "Why did you have to die" He knew that it was coming. Harry led her over to a rock and they sat down. There he explained what he, Ron and Hermione were doing the past year. A few tears slipped. Now Ginny's head was on his shoulder as they watched the sun set. "Oi!" someone shouted. They both turned around to see who the disrupter of the peace was. It was Ron with Hermione not far behind. Ginny looked as though she could hex him. "Come on it's time for dinner!" Harry and Ginny put their arms around each other. Ron stiffened but when Hermione put a hand on his shoulder he calmed down. "Your not gonna hurt her again are you?" Harry looked down at locked eyes with Ginny "Never"
