Hi readers! I'm planning to do a series of short fics for everyone who is a little or a lot disappointed with the HIMYM finale. I know BRO fans are in good company rallying on here to show how simple and perfect and right a happy BRO ending should have been. Enjoy!
Lily shrieked at Tracy who was spinning in circles in front of the floor length mirror. Her wedding gown was ruffled and flowing at the bottom and cinched in at the waist. Gorgeous sparkling sequined diamonds highlighted the sweetheart neckline.
Robin smiled reassuringly at Tracy, while giving Lily a dismissive wave. Robin searched for the right word.
Lily snapped.
Tracy and Robin agreed nodding their heads vehemently. Not wanting to get Lily fired up, which had become par for the course during the last trimester of her second pregnancy.
Lily swirled around and for the ladies room. Coincidentally, this was also the last place Barney and Robin had hooked up. Robin smiled deviously at the memory of Barney's lips crashing against hers as he pressed her against the vanity counter while she ran her hands through his gorgeous blond hair, pulling him into her. The way she felt his heartbeat and his intoxicating Barney scent surrounding her when they came together. This was the reason she always slept in his shirts and in his arms. It was hard to believe they'd been married two years and that still never got old. In fact, just like aged scotch they just kept getting more awesome. As much as she hated to admit it maybe the universe really did have a plan for everyone. Now she and Barney would be walking down the aisle together as Ted and Tracy finally tied the knot.
Tracy asked, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
Robin returned her smile, Barney the love of her life. Always.
Tracy said knowingly, then added,
Robin asked confused.

Robin thought reminiscing on all the sad and happy tears that had paved the way to marrying Barney and how she wouldn't trade one memory. There was a long time when Robin thought happy endings were impossible and if they were destined for anyone they went to the Ted and Tracy's of the world. Those who believed love was the best thing we did. Now she realized, with Barney, happy endings were not so exclusive and maybe, it was the Barney and Robin's of the world, those who needed them the most, that made their happy ending the most special.
Tracy hugged Robin impulsively.
Robin beamed, literally
Tracy laughed,
Lily yelled at the pair hugging.
Tracy smiled at the auburn-haired glowing beauty who just returned from the ladies room.
Lily came over pulling both her best friends in for another hug. Her twins kicked in her belly.
Lily ordered lovingly as Robin and Tracy rubbed her belly. The blue french horn sounded outside the door. Show time!
