My second "serious" Fire Emblem poem, i.e. not lyrics. I hope you enjoy it. Remember to review. I'll be editing accordingly!
From Dorcas to Natalie
That axe wielder raises his axe
It comes hurtling down, that wide blade
Too fast
And buries itself in my arm
All around, lights flash in my vision
And I collapse
In a daze, the biting pain tears at me
It eats into my arm, stinging, throbbing
With this pain that I cannot describe
Blood flows out, staining the sand
I feel like I cannot go on anymore
But suddenly, I recall her face, her soft brown eyes
That beautiful smile, so gentle, so warm
My beloved, my wife, my dearest
The one I swore to protect with my very life
And I know I cannot die, for she needs me
If I die, who will care for her? Talkto her?
Keep her safe?
No one else will
No one else but me. She needs me.
I can go on.
Fearless, I rise.
The bandit steps back in shock
She needs me to keep her safeā¦
And I finish the bandit in a single swift blow.
All I do is for you, dear Natalie.
