A/N: uh, this is a short oneshot. I guess you could call it a Frerard, but I kinda planned it as a friendship between Gerard and Frank. ANYWAYS this is actually based off something that happened to me at camp... so... yeah... And, this is complete and TOTAL fiction. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED!
Disclaimer: I do not own Frank, nor Gerard... if I did... i would be watching them make out, but... no... sadly not...
Frank looked at his notebook. He had been sitting out on the porch of his cabin at summer camp, all alone, drawing. He tilted his head trying to think of what to draw. Slowly he brought his pencil to the paper, and began sketching a large Collie on it. He was drawing his dog. Frank frowned as he carefully drew the outline of the dog. Just then the creaky screen door opened as his best friend Gerard walked out of the cabin and sat across from him at the picnic table.
"Hey Frank!" He chirped as he sat down. Frank looked up, smiled weakly and whispered a small "hi". Gerard leaned over to get a better look at the drawing. "Nice wolf." He smiled at Frank.
"Its not a wolf..." He stared at Gerard, then back at the paper. "Its my dog..."
"Oh, well the pointy ears kinda threw me off, y'know?" He laughed. Frank frowned even more and closed his eyes.
"Yeah... sorry... I haven't seen her in 2 months..." He felt himself choke up as he said it. He hadn't told Gerard what happened 2 months ago.
"Woah, wait, 2 months?! Why?!" He grew concerned. Frank just stayed silent and continued to draw slowly, biting his lip to hold back the tears that wanted to spill. Gerards eyes widened and stood up. "Oh my god Frank... She... Ruby..." He stuttered in shock. Frank nodded sadly.
"I came back from a class trip and the next morning my mom told me that we were putting her down..." He whispered as a tear fell silently. Gerard walked over to Frank and knelt down beside him, wiping the tear away.
"Frank..." He placed a hand on Franks back. "Frank its okay..." Frank nodded sadly and stared at Gerard.
"I miss her Gerard... i miss her so much..." He sobbed into Gerards shoulder softly.
"I know you do Frank. Ruby was a good dog..." He frowned at the boy crying into his shoulder. Frank looked up.
"I saw her grave on Sunday.. before I got here..."
"Oh... you did..?"
"Yeah..." He nodded. "I realized that shes better now, and no longer in a lot of pain..." He looked up to the sky. "Shes up in doggy heaven and shes up there playing with all the other dogs." Frank said, smiling sadly.
"Exactly. Now stop talking like that or I'm gonna cry." He laughed lightly. Frank smiled, this time happier.
"You really are a great friend, Gee."
"You are too..." Gerard hugged Frank. "Feelin better now?"
"Yeah.. yeah I am..."
"Good, now lets go before we're late for dinner." he laughed at the smaller boy.
"Okay." He nodded and looked up one last time. "I love you Ruby." and ran off to follow Gerard.
A/N: Okay, so that last part didn't happen, but I felt it was too short. but Frank never had a collie named Ruby, I did. That thing with Ruby did happen. I actually talked about it with my counsler the other day and broke down. v.v it wasn't very happy... but, anyways, thanks for reading. :)
